We currently have a career opportunity for a DevOps Engineer AWS  to join our team located in LATAM.


As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will oversee and actively participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including estimation, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of applications developed for our clients. In your leadership role, you will guide and mentor team members, collaborate with solution architects to define technical strategies, and ensure development activities align with project goals and best practices. You will also take ownership of key technical decisions and foster a collaborative team environment.

Primary work schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST. Candidates must also have the flexibility to work a 12-hour shift every two weeks, which will require availability during overnight or early morning hours in the LATAM time zone.

Responsibilities
  • Strong expertise in Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, or Amazon Linux.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes (EKS for AWS and AKS for Azure). 
  • Proficiency in programming with C# and Java.
  • Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to support Java, .Net, and NodeJS applications. 
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. 
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure high availability and performance. 
  • Implement and enforce security best practices for cloud environments, including IAM policies, network security, and compliance. 
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on DevOps tools, practices, and methodologies. 
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our DevOps processes.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering role.
  • Proficiency in Terraform and CloudFormation for infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) and Azure services.
  • Expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS on AWS and AKS on Azure).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
  • Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, .Net, and NodeJS.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or CloudWatch.
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures and microservices.
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud solutions.
