Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead AEM Developer to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions. This role serves as a senior technical contributor responsible for solution architecture, engineering excellence, technical leadership, and mentoring development teams across complex digital experience initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on AEM expertise with the ability to guide teams, influence technical direction, and partner with architects, business stakeholders, and clients to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, architect, and implement complex Adobe Experience Manager solutions across AEM 6.5, AEMaaCS, and Edge Delivery Services (EDS) platforms.
  • Serve as a senior technical leader and subject matter expert for Adobe Experience Manager, providing guidance on architecture, best practices, and implementation approaches.
  • Lead all phases of the software development lifecycle, from solution design and technical planning through development, deployment, optimization, and ongoing support.
  • Drive technical design decisions and establish development standards to ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions.
  • Design and oversee integrations between AEM and marketing technology platforms, customer data platforms, analytics solutions, and other enterprise systems.
  • Lead technical discussions with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Mentor and guide developers through code reviews, technical problem-solving, and professional development.
  • Evaluate technical risks, identify dependencies, and recommend mitigation strategies throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation requirements, security practices, and quality assurance processes.
  • Provide effort estimates, project scoping, and technical recommendations for new initiatives and enhancements.
  • Coordinate technical workstreams and provide oversight to ensure successful delivery against project timelines and quality expectations.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while providing technical leadership across multiple projects and teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Adobe Experience Manager development experience.
  • 6+ years of overall Java-based enterprise application development experience.
  • Deep expertise with:
    • AEM Sites
    • AEM Assets
    • Sling
    • OSGi
    • JCR
    • HTL/Sightly
    • Oak Repository
    • REST APIs
    • Java
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions within AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
  • Experience leading development teams or serving as technical lead on digital experience projects.
  • Proven experience conducting code reviews and providing technical mentorship.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, secure coding practices, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Adobe Certified Expert or Adobe Professional certification.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native architectures, and DevOps practices.
  • Prior consulting or client-facing experience managing complex enterprise engagements.

The annual salary range for this position is $94,000 - $120,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
