Our Mission

Healthcare should work for patients, but it doesn’t. In their time of need, they call down outdated insurance directories. Then wait on hold. Then wait weeks for the privilege of a visit. Then wait in a room solely designed for waiting. Then wait for a surprise bill. In any other consumer industry, the companies delivering such a poor customer experience would not survive. But in healthcare, patients lack market power. Which means they are expected to accept the unacceptable.

Zocdoc’s mission is to give power to the patient. To do that, we’ve built the leading healthcare marketplace that makes it easy to find and book in-person or virtual care in all 50 states, across +200 specialties and +12k insurance plans. By giving patients the ability to see and choose, we give them power. In doing so, we can make healthcare work like every other consumer sector, where businesses compete for customers, not the other way around. In time, this will drive quality up and prices down.

We’re 18 years old and the leader in our space, but we are still just getting started. If you like solving important, complex problems alongside deeply thoughtful, driven, and collaborative teammates, read on.

Your Impact on our Mission:

The Client Insights Lead Analyst will partner directly with Zocdoc’s most strategic Sales pods to deliver analytics that unlock client growth and drive revenue. You’ll run analyses and conduct experiments to uncover what truly drives client performance and translate those insights into strategies that unlock client revenue and accelerate Zocdoc’s growth. As a trusted advisor to Sales leadership and enterprise clients, you’ll quantify the incremental value Zocdoc delivers and guide decisions that grow accounts, improve performance, and maximize profitability. This is a high-visibility role for someone who wants to own the numbers behind growth — designing tests, building ROI models, and using data to shape how Zocdoc and its clients win together.

You’ll Enjoy This Role If You Are…

  • Motivated by driving measurable growth for both clients and Zocdoc by translating data insights into revenue-impacting strategies.
  • Grounded in statistical rigor with a passion for structured testing and real-world experimentation.

  • Skilled at turning complex analyses into clear, actionable business recommendations.
  • A data storyteller who blends technical depth with commercial impact.
  • Confident influencing senior stakeholders through compelling, data-driven insights.
  • Collaborative by nature, thriving alongside Sales teams to embed analytics into client strategy.

Your Day-to-Day Is…

  • Partnering with Sales leads to proactively uncover opportunities that improve client conversion, retention, and revenue outcomes.
  • Designing, executing, and analyzing experiments that test client and sales hypotheses, measuring impact and uncovering causal relationships.
  • Leveraging advanced analytics (e.g., regression, segmentation, causal inference) where experiments aren’t possible to identify optimization opportunities and track progress over time.
  • Translating complex analyses into actionable recommendations and narratives that shape account strategy.
  • Developing analytical frameworks that generate tailored client insights and partnering cross-functionally to evolve and scale them across teams.
  • Presenting insights to senior Sales stakeholders through clear, compelling visualizations and recommendations.
  • Engaging directly with clients to present insights when needed, delivering clear narratives that translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations that reinforce Zocdoc’s business value.

You’ll be successful in this role if you have…

  • BA/BS in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 6+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related quantitative role using data to drive measurable business impact.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience using Python or R for statistical analysis and automation.
  • Deep expertise in experimental design for campaign optimization and performance measurement
  • Ability to communicate complex analyses clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, with strong presentation skills and executive presence.
