Role Summary

The Lead Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis is a key contributor in the Finance organization, responsible for delivering high-impact financial insights, leading complex analyses, and influencing strategic decisions. This role bridges tactical execution and strategic thinking, requiring strong business acumen, leadership, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Analysis

  • Lead the development of complex financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives.
  • Translate financial data into actionable insights that influence business decisions and outcomes.
  • Identify key performance drivers and recommend improvements to enhance profitability and efficiency.

Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, providing financial guidance and strategic support.
  • Collaborate across departments to align financial plans with operational goals and long-term strategy.
  • Anticipate business needs and proactively deliver insights that shape priorities and trade-offs.

Reporting & Communication

  • Design and deliver executive-level reporting packages with clear narratives and visualizations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting tools and processes to enhance clarity and impact.
  • Communicate complex financial concepts in a concise, business-relevant manner to diverse audiences.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering skill development and analytical rigor.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related role.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills; strong experience with financial modeling and data visualization.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive business outcomes through data-driven insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FP&A Experience in a technology, telecom, or SaaS environment using recurring or subscription-based revenue
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial planning tools.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams or mentoring roles.
