Patch exists to put the planet back in balance by scaling unified climate action through software, market infrastructure, and culture-driven execution. Every day our platform not only curates the world's most trusted environmental datasets that includes carbon, renewable energy, sustainable aviation fuel and more, we’re helping companies both set and meet ambitious climate goals that are tied to true impact.
Our culture is built on three non-negotiables:
We build the future we want – we don't wait for permission; we shape the market.
We're all in this together – direct, empathetic teamwork inside Patch and across the climate ecosystem.
We amp it up – urgency and unreasonably high standards because the planet can't wait.
If that mindset energizes you, read on.
About the roleWe're looking for a Lead Brand Designer to own Patch's visual brand and the design of everything we put into the world, from the website, reports, decks, campaigns, and events, to video and social. You'll be the creative director of Patch's brand system and the primary designer executing against it, setting the bar for craft, evolving our visual identity as our category matures, and orchestrating a network of contractors and agencies to scale output without diluting quality.
This is a hybrid maker-and-manager role. You'll still be in Figma, and you'll also be running briefs, art-directing external partners, and partnering directly with leaders across the company, ranging from the CEO, to Marketing, Product, and Sales leadership — to translate strategy into design that moves buyers and defines the category.
What you'll tackleOwn and evolve Patch's visual identity system so it stays distinctive as we scale, and set the brand standard every external asset must meet
Lead website design across new pages, campaigns, and refreshes in partnership with marketing and sales
Design our flagship reports, whitepapers, and long-form editorial that establish Patch's category authority
Design the sales narrative decks, pitch templates, and collateral our GTM team uses to win
Design our digital and campaign surfaces: ads, social, landing pages, email, and campaign systems
Design our in-real-life presence: events, dinners, print, signage, and swag
Brief, art-direct, and where needed produce motion and video content for launches, campaigns, and social
Build and manage a bench of specialist contractors and agencies; write briefs, run reviews, and own the design budget and pace
A senior brand designer with 8+ years of experience, including time in-house at a high-growth B2B or category-defining company and time at or working closely with a top design agency
A maker whose portfolio does the talking: distinctive, sharp work that holds together across web, print, motion, and IRL
You've owned a visual identity system end-to-end and evolved it as a company scaled
Fluent across formats: web, editorial, presentation, event, video, motion, digital, and able to direct specialists where you're not the deepest expert
An excellent creative director of external partners; you can brief an agency, art-direct a video, and give the exact right note
Decisive and pragmatic; you know how to trade craft against speed without losing either, and when to hold the line on craft anyway
A strong writer and communicator who can defend a design decision to a CEO, a seller, and a customer with equal clarity
Motivated by climate, or by working on problems that matter
A mission-obsessed crew building with speed and sky-high standards
Competitive salary and meaningful equity
Onsite culture in San Francisco with annual global offsites for strategy and team bonding
Unlimited vacation and generous parental leave
Monthly wellness stipend (mental and physical)
If shaping the story of climate action — while using AI as a force multiplier — sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd love to meet you.
Let's rebalance the planet together.
