About the Job
- As a Lead Cloud Specialist, your primary focus will be hands-on cloud implementation, technical ownership, and the delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable cloud environments. Key responsibilities include:
- Cloud Delivery Leadership: Lead the implementation and operationalization of cloud solutions, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
- Cloud Infrastructure Implementation: Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure across networking, compute, storage, identity, and platform services to support business and application requirements.
- Hybrid Cloud Connectivity: Implement and maintain secure connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments using services such as Network Connectivity Center, Partner Interconnect, and HA VPN.
- Cloud Security Deployment: Establish and enforce a strong cloud security posture through the implementation of cloud-native security services, including Cloud NGFW Enterprise, Cloud IDS, Cloud Armor, identity controls, and encryption capabilities.
- Access and Service Controls: Implement appropriate access boundaries, segmentation, and data protection guardrails using tools such as VPC Service Controls, IAM policies, and Network Security Endpoints.
- Cloud Observability and Operations: Configure and maintain logging, monitoring, alerting, and diagnostic capabilities to support platform reliability, performance management, troubleshooting, and security investigations.
As a Lead Cloud Engineer, your primary focus will be on hands-on implementation and technical ownership, including:
About you
- Google Cloud Platform Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of Google Cloud, including compute, storage, databases, Kubernetes, serverless technologies, identity and access management, observability, and platform services. Experience applying this expertise to other major cloud providers is a plus.
- Enterprise Cloud Delivery: Proven experience designing, implementing, and operationalizing scalable cloud environments that support enterprise applications, data platforms, and business-critical workloads.
- Cloud Security Proficiency: Hands-on experience implementing cloud-native security controls, including IAM, encryption, secrets management, security monitoring, policy enforcement, and data protection guardrails.
- Extensive Cloud Engineering Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, platform architecture, infrastructure delivery, or related technical disciplines, with strong expertise in Google Cloud, Terraform, Kubernetes, automation, security, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Cloud Governance and Service Controls: Demonstrated experience implementing governance frameworks and security guardrails using tools such as Organization Policies, IAM controls, VPC Service Controls, audit logging, and policy-as-code.
- Infrastructure Automation: Significant experience provisioning, configuring, and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, along with CI/CD and automated deployment practices.
- Platform Reliability and Observability: Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, performance management, and incident-response capabilities to improve the availability, resilience, and operational health of cloud platforms.
- Technical Leadership and Influence: A history of independently owning technical delivery across defined project lifecycles, demonstrating strong communication skills, mentoring team members, and maintaining a high standard for engineering quality.
