Senior Developer – Oracle Commerce
Experience:
7+ years in eCommerce development with 3+ years hands-on experience in Oracle Commerce / ATG.
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with strong expertise in Oracle Commerce (ATG) to design, develop, enhance, and support scalable eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development skills, integration experience, and understanding of modern commerce ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Oracle Commerce / ATG platform
- Customize core commerce modules such as Catalog, Pricing, Promotions, Checkout, Orders, Customer Profile
- Develop and support REST/SOAP integrations with third-party systems such as ERP, CRM, Payment Gateways, OMS, Tax, and Shipping providers
- Build reusable components and optimize existing code for performance and scalability
- Participate in technical design discussions and solution architecture
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely fixes
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, DevOps, and Product Owners
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and best practices
- Support deployments, releases, and environment management
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Commerce / ATG
- Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring Framework
- Good understanding of Oracle Commerce BCC, CSC, Dynamo, Repositories, Pipelines
- Experience with JSP, Servlets, REST APIs
- Strong knowledge of SQL / PL-SQL / Oracle DB
- Experience in integrations using APIs / middleware
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS / Azure
- Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks like React / Angular
- Experience in migration or modernization from Oracle Commerce to composable platforms
- Agile / Scrum project experience
