Job Summary:
Join Cat Digital in this new and exciting Data Architect role in shaping the data architecture, strategy and standards enabling Caterpillar's next generation Dealer ERP solution (Cat Converge)! You will work closely with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate business outcomes into scalable, cloud-native data solutions that accelerate time-to-value and enable a seamless Cat Digital experience.
What You Will Do:
  • Establish Data architecture principles and strategy for Dealer ERP related ecosystem including data migrations, integrations and related goals
  • Develop detailed data architecture deliverables to solve business problems.
  • Design data solutions which include system-to-system data flows, conceptual data models, and logical data models.
  • Lead the evaluation and deployment of new solutions to add or enhance existing data product capabilities.
  • Participate in addressing business requirements for applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver digital and data solutions that meet business results.

What You Will Have:
  • Data Architecture: Extensive knowledge of processes, techniques and factors that affect data architecture; ability to design blueprints on how to integrate data resources for business processes and functional support.
  • Information Management: Extensive knowledge of an organization's existing and planned Information Architecture and Information Management (IM) methodology; ability to collect and manage information from different sources and distribute this information to enhance operational efficiency
  • Cloud Computing: Working knowledge of the concepts, technologies and services of cloud computing, ability to design, deploy how data is managed and interact with cloud computing solutions.
  • Requirements Analysis: Working knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

Considerations for Top Candidates:
  • Experience with data modeling and solutions related to ERP solutions (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, etc)
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience designing/architecting cloud-based solutions.

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
