The Lead Engineer for Centralized Billing Solutions is accountable for the creation, enhancement, and support of software that digitizes the Quote to Cash process. Lineage is the world’s largest and most dynamic temperature-controlled warehousing company, and the Quote to Cash process ensures millions of charges are appropriate recorded, rated, and invoiced every week. This position will help us build and maintain the necessary applications, APIs, and integrations to other services and software in this area. We need an experienced technologist to help guide the team to enhance, maintain, and continue to implement the technology that is used by our internal and external teams around the world.

This is a REMOTE role.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Lead a team of internal and external resources to build a differentiated set of tools 

  • Guide and contribute to sound technical design and architectural decisions 

  • Consistently deliver high-quality software in usable increments 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product management team members, data scientists, subject matter experts, and end users (among others) to solve complex problems and resolve disagreement with informed, rational, and practical solutions 

  • Mentor and provide guidance especially to other technical resources 

  • Identify, plan, estimate, execute, and track software engineering work across a large, diverse team 

  • Grow and maintain a broad and deep knowledge of supply chain operations and associated technologies 

  • Periodic domestic travel to meet with team members and partners 

 

Education and Work Experience: 

  • University degree in computer science, software engineering, or IT management 

  • 10+ years of direct software application engineering experience including at least 4 years as a software engineer and an equivalent amount of time spent leading software engineering teams 

  • Prior work managing projects with budgets of at least $2M / year 

  • Previous exposure to or use of supply chain concepts and associated technologies including TMS, WMS, and related systems is preferred
