Summary

The Disney+ Product Design team is seeking a Lead Product Designer to shape the future of streaming entertainment across platforms including Living Room devices, Web, and Mobile. Disney+ is more than a platform—it’s how millions of viewers worldwide discover, connect with, and enjoy the stories they love. We’re looking for a design leader who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and user-centered design, and who can craft experiences that keep audiences engaged in an increasingly competitive streaming landscape.

As a Lead Product Designer, you’ll influence both strategy and execution. You’ll set a vision for user experiences that enhance discovery, personalization, playback, and engagement while ensuring design decisions align with business goals and metrics. You’ll partner closely with Product and Engineering to deliver solutions at scale, while mentoring other designers and raising the bar for design across the team.

You are a veteran designer with a deep understanding of how to build intuitive, elegant experiences that work seamlessly across platforms, from the largest TV screens to the smallest mobile devices. You balance creativity with rigor—crafting beautiful interfaces while grounding decisions in research, analytics, and experimentation.

Join our award-winning design team and help shape the future of streaming at Disney+.

What You’ll Do
  • Define and lead product vision: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Research to set design direction across key areas such as content discovery, personalization, playback, and cross-platform experiences.
  • Design for scale and global reach: Deliver solutions that serve millions of users worldwide, balancing cultural, technical, and accessibility considerations.
  • Elevate user engagement: Translate data insights and research into experiences that drive retention, viewing time, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead design execution: Create process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that set the bar for usability and craft.
  • Champion experimentation: Partner with product teams to design and analyze A/B and multivariate tests that validate assumptions and optimize outcomes.
  • Mentor and inspire: Coach and support designers at multiple levels, fostering growth, collaboration, and excellence across the team.
  • Drive operational excellence: Ensure documentation and specifications are thorough, consistent, and ready for seamless handoff to engineering and QA.
  • Be the voice of the viewer: Advocate for user needs in strategic conversations, ensuring every solution is ethical, delightful, and impactful.
