About the Team:

Our team – Bellwether – operates at the intersection of machine learning, geospatial data, and pressing issues with enterprise customers, governments, and more. Our team is focused on creating transparency into physical risk. We focus on severe weather manifestations of climate change, such as wildfires, and aim to use a wide range of data and analytics to better understand and predict what these events could mean for communities and businesses across the globe. We do this through the detection and classification of the features and patterns of the natural and built worlds, the application of cutting-edge machine learning, and the redesign of the full geo-ML workflow. This work extends into development and production-level work as well, as Bellwether also has a number of products that are live with customers. The result: tools and models that allow a range of industries to better leverage earth observation insights.

About the role:

As a Lead Product Manager at Bellwether, you will drive the evolution of our core product suite and take complete ownership of all model, agent, and platform components for Bellwether. In this highly technical role, you will help shape how financial services and government customers leverage AI. You will work closely with internal users and customers to prioritize their complex requirements and ship valuable features / workflows to the Bellwether platform. You will collaborate deeply with the engineering, research, and cross-functional teams to ensure our agent architecture and data infrastructure remain ahead of model capabilities, establishing Bellwether as the most robust and intelligent platform in the space.

As model intelligence accelerates, the ultimate form factor of agentic systems and scalable data platforms remains unwritten. We seek a highly technical product leader who combines deep architectural understanding, a genuine passion for platform engineering, and strong product intuition. You should be equally comfortable discussing advanced agent behaviors and data pipelines with world-class researchers, debugging user workflows, and presenting product strategy to executives.

How you will have 10X impact:

  • Develop and maintain clear, inspiring product vision, roadmaps, segmentation, and value proposition across our key verticals
  • Have a strong point of view on how agentic system, data ontology and enterprise AI models are evolving
  • Lead deep-dive discovery with key stakeholders in the insurance, capital markets, and resilience sectors to turn complex climate modeling into intuitive risk measurement and mitigation workflows.
  • Create experiences that inspire confidence, delight and accelerate our end users, and encourage adoption and trust across industries
  • Working closely with our researchers, engineers, designers, and partners to guide development and bring our roadmap to life during the product lifecycle:
    • Represent the voice of the market, our partners, and customers
    • Maintain focus on roadmap priorities
    • Manage and scope sprints and releases
    • Propose creative solutions to technical issues and challenges
  • Develop clear, concise product documentation
  • Create materials and give presentations that evangelize and articulate product vision, roadmap, and value propositions to technical and non-technical audiences, both internally and externally
  • Understand and monitor the market and ecosystem for physical risk - including insurance, reinsurance, capital markets, and more

What you should have

  • Combined 10+ years of professional experience spanning product management and engineering, including at least 1 year in a hands-on engineering role. Ideally, you transitioned from a highly technical discipline (e.g., Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science) early in your career, or you bring entrepreneurial founder experience or product leadership that culminated in a successful company acquisition.
  • Proven track record of success in platform or enterprise product management. You have demonstrated tangible, measurable business results utilizing either a product-led (PLG) or sales-led (SLG) growth strategy (or a hybrid of both).
  • Deep domain expertise in cloud infrastructure and platform architecture (familiarity with technologies like Databricks, CoreWeave, Splunk, Snowflake, etc., is highly valued). Candidates with consumer-product backgrounds are encouraged to apply, provided you directly own the underlying core platform or infrastructure components.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing Generative AI tools to optimize product workflows, accelerate PRD development, enhance Product-to-Engineering alignment, and rapidly prototype wireframes or feature concepts.
  • A deeply technical mindset coupled with the ability to navigate a highly cross-functional environment, seamlessly bridging complex engineering architectures with executive business strategies.

It’d be great if you also had these:

  • Experience in startups or small-team environments
  • Experience with Google’s AI tools and platforms
  • Familiarity with geospatial data (e.g., satellite imagery, GIS), climate science, or catastrophe modeling.
  • Experience with Google Cloud and enterprise deployments Prior success in productizing research or innovation-stage prototypes.
  • Writing samples or public-facing documentation that demonstrate clarity and technical fluency
