Dave vs. Goliath. We’re Dave.

Dave is a financial app on a mission to build products that level the financial playing field. It is redefining the financial landscape by leveraging technology to create an affordable, transparent, and user-centric access to liquidity for millions of Americans. As a leading innovator in the U.S. financial services sector, Dave’s digital financial platform offers products designed to meet the credit needs of those underserved by traditional financial institutions. Dave’s offerings include its flagship ExtraCash product, providing members up to $500 in short-term advances within minutes. The company is on track to launch several new product offerings in 2026, including a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) option.

Dave is focused on serving Americans who are financially vulnerable or living paycheck to paycheck. Dave is leading the charge in creating a new era of credit products that prioritizes speed, affordability, and accessibility, making it the go-to financial partner for those who need it most.

As we scale transaction volume, revenue, and product lines, the systems behind how money moves matter more than ever. We’re hiring a Lead Product Manager, Funds Flow & Ledger, to own the financial infrastructure that ensures every dollar is accurate, traceable, and handled with care at massive scale.

The Opportunity

This lead role is a platform-defining product role. You’ll lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Dave’s funds flow and ledger systems – the foundation behind every financial product we ship.

You’ll set direction for complex, cross-cutting systems that touch Engineering, Data, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Risk, and Compliance. Your work will shape how Dave scales responsibly, launches new products faster, and protects member trust as transaction volume grows severalfold.

What you’ll build and own
  • The end-to-end funds flow architecture that governs how money moves across Dave, banking partners, and vendors built to support new products and 10× scale

  • Ledgering systems that accurately and consistently record transactions across all product lines, serving as a trusted source of truth

  • A reconciliation strategy that ensures transactions are complete, auditable, and explainable across internal systems and external partners

  • The financial data foundation that powers reconciliation, accounting, reporting, and downstream analytics

  • Automation for financial operations, including reconciliation, exception management, and cost attribution – reducing manual effort and operational risk

  • Improvements to float management, settlement timing, and capital efficiency in close partnership with Treasury and Risk

The impact

The systems you lead will quietly power everything Dave does. When they work well, members get faster access to their money, finance teams close with confidence, and new products launch without fragile workarounds. Your decisions will directly affect how responsibly (and quickly) Dave can grow.

What we’re looking forExperience
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with 5+ years in fintech or financial systems

  • Deep experience with funds flow, ledgering, and reconciliation in high-volume transaction platforms

  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Data, Finance, Accounting, or Treasury teams

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working directly with transaction-level data and edge cases

  • Ability to turn complex technical and financial constraints into clear product direction and priorities

Bonus
  • Experience building internal platforms or infrastructure products

  • Familiarity with accounting principles and reconciliation workflows

  • Hands-on experience with SQL, financial data models, or data pipelines

  • Exposure to AI or automation in finance or operations contexts

Why you'll be successful here

You operate at a systems level. You see how individual product decisions ripple through finance, risk, compliance, and member experience, and you design with that full picture in mind. You’re comfortable making high-stakes trade-offs and setting direction for others, not just shipping tickets.

You lead through partnership. You bring engineers, finance leaders, and data teams along with a clear point of view, listen carefully to constraints, and adjust when the data says you should. You move fast, but never at the expense of accuracy, trust, or long-term sustainability.

What to expect

You’ll connect member outcomes like access, speed, and trust to the financial systems underneath them, ensuring platform decisions reflect real customer impact. You’ll have meaningful autonomy over a critical part of Dave’s platform and regular exposure to senior stakeholders.

Why join Dave
  • Mission-driven work that directly helps people avoid predatory financial systems

  • A lead role shaping the financial backbone of a profitable, growing public fintech

  • A collaborative environment that values thoughtful execution over burnout

  • Meaningful equity in a public company (NASDAQ: DAVE), plus comprehensive benefits, 401(k) matching, and flexible PTO.

Don’t let imposter syndrome get in the way of an incredible opportunity. We’re looking for people who can help us achieve our mission and vision, not just check off the boxes. If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply. You may just be the right candidate for this or other roles.

Why you’ll love working here:

At Dave, our people are just as important as our product. Our culture reflects the values that guide who we are, how we work, and what we aspire to be. Daves are member-centric, helpful, transparent, persistent, and better together. We strive to create an environment where all Daves feel valued, heard, and empowered to do their best work. As a virtual-first company, team members can live and work anywhere in the United States, except Hawaii.

A few of our benefits & perks:

💚 Opportunity to tackle tough challenges, learn and grow from fellow top talent, and help millions of people reach their personal financial goals

💻 Flexible hours and virtual-first work culture with a home office stipend

🏥 Premium Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance plans

👶 Generous paid parental and caregiver leave

💰 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions

📈 Financial advisor and financial wellness support

🏖️ Flexible PTO and generous company holidays, including Juneteenth and Winter Break

🎉 All-company in-person events once or twice a year and virtual events throughout to connect with your team members and leadership team
