Why Join Our Team

  • Work with the people shaping the future. Hippocratic AI was co-founded by CEO Munjal Shah and a team of physicians, hospital leaders, AI pioneers, and researchers from institutions like El Camino Health, Johns Hopkins, Washington University in St. Louis, Stanford, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and NVIDIA.

  • Build alongside the best in healthcare and AI. Join experts who’ve spent their careers improving care, advancing science, and building world-changing technologies — ensuring our platform is powerful, trusted, and truly transformative.

We believe the best ideas happen together. To support fast collaboration and a strong team culture, this role is expected to be in our Palo Alto office five days a week unless otherwise specified.

About the Role

As the Lead Product Manager for the Payor Vertical, you will be the architect of how health plans and insurers leverage generative voice AI to transform member experience, care management, and administrative efficiency. You aren’t just managing a roadmap; you are defining the future of how millions of members interact with their health insurance.

This is a high-impact, "founding" style product role for our Payor business. You will sit at the intersection of our customers (national and regional health plans), our world-class AI engineering team, and our clinical safety experts.

What You'll Do
  • Vertical Strategy & Vision: Define what "success" looks like for Hippocratic AI in the payor space. Identify high-value use cases (e.g., Star Ratings improvement, proactive care coordination, prior authorization support) and build the long-term vertical strategy.

  • Customer Discovery & Partnership: Act as the primary product partner for payor executives. Deeply understand their pain points, regulatory constraints (NCQA, HEDIS), and business goals to co-design AI-driven solutions.

  • Roadmap Execution: Translate customer needs into crisp product requirements and technical specs. Work hand-in-hand with Engineering, Speech/NLP researchers, and Implementation teams to move from pilot to production.

  • Clinical Safety Integration: Collaborate with our clinical team to ensure every voice interaction meets our rigorous "Hippocratic" safety standards.

  • Go-to-Market Collaboration: Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop value propositions, ROI models, and case studies that resonate with payor stakeholders.

What You Bring

Must Have:

  • Payor Expert: You have 7+ years of product management experience, with a significant portion spent within the health insurance/payor ecosystem. You understand member journeys, risk adjustment, and the nuances of value-based care.

  • Voice/AI Enthusiast: You are passionate about the potential of Generative AI. While you don't need to be a researcher, you should understand the capabilities and limitations of LLMs and Speech-to-Text/Text-to-Speech technologies.

  • Zero-to-One Mindset: You excel in ambiguity. You can take a broad goal and turn it into a concrete execution plan.

  • Exceptional Communicator: You can explain complex AI concepts to a Chief Medical Officer and technical trade-offs to a Senior Engineer with equal clarity.

  • Data-Driven: You define success through metrics—whether it's reducing call abandonment rates, increasing member engagement, or improving clinical outcomes

Join us and help build the future of safe, life-changing AI in healthcare. There’s never been a more exciting moment to make an impact.
