As a Lead Safety Architect, you will be at the forefront of our autonomous vehicle technology, ensuring its safety at scale. You will collaborate with the most innovative engineers and technologists to integrate safety measures into our latest DRIVE products. This role is paramount in achieving and exceeding NVIDIA's high safety standards, making your work both exciting and impactful!

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading multi-functional initiatives to define safety architecture and requirements for autonomous vehicles.

  • Delivering safety concepts and analysis to enable continuous and safe software deliveries.

  • Defining and improving safety metrics in collaboration with experts in perception, AI, motion planning, and safety architecture.

  • Improving processes and tools for safety analysis and data-driven evaluation.

  • Sharing safety analysis and readiness results with colleagues and management.

What we need to see:

  • MS or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent experience.

  • 12+ years of relevant industry experience.

  • A structured approach to systems and software development.

  • Proven record of successfully leading multi-functional efforts in architecture, development, or verification.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ways to Stand Out from the crowd:

  • ADAS or autonomous vehicle systems or Machine learning and Robotics experience

  • Knowledge and experience in Data science and statistics

  • Worked in V&V of safety-critical systems

  • Knowledge of Sensor technologies, e.g. radar, lidar, camera

  • Experience with system safety methodologies & practices (FMEA, FTA, STPA,..) and safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, UL4600, ISO21448, ISO 8800..)

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
