Position Profile

Weaver is looking for a Learning and Development Compliance Specialist. This individual will be responsible for the management, organization, preparation, and completion of regulatory and compliance documents and reports to satisfy regulatory agency requirements.. This role will work closely with service line partners to support Weaver's learning culture and equip our people with the skills and knowledge to meet client needs and grow with our growing firm.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 2+ years of general experience
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effectively apply written and oral communication skills
  • Effectively organize and utilize input from diverse sources to achieve compliance goals
  • Demonstrate ethical and professional standards outlined by the firm

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day-to- day execution and oversight of CPE sponsor obligations including processing course completions to distribute credit in line with various regulatory standards and ensuring department-wide procedures support compliance with NASBA and PCAOB requirements
  • Administer and provide efficiencies to the ongoing license monitoring procedures, including supporting employees with obtaining relevant credentials in line with firm policy and department requirements, monitoring renewals to ensure all individual licenses are active, and reporting status regularly
  • Administer and provide efficiencies to the ongoing continuing education monitoring procedures, including supporting employees with regular reminders, means to obtain appropriate CPE/CE, providing reports and status to stakeholders across the firm, and generating firmwide insights/actions
  • Develop and oversee a proactive system for uniform handling of issues of noncompliance related to licensing and continuing education
  • Own the firm's annual CPE sponsorship renewals
  • Stay abreast of developments in compliance regulations including but not limited to state societies, state boards and other regulatory agencies, ensuring operating manuals and procedural documents stay current when regulations change
  • Oversee completion of new hire training requirements and support new employees with navigating the firm's professional development and compliance policies and procedures, including educating staff on regulatory agency requirements and facilitating training sessions for staff on compliance topics
    • Manage short and long-term compliance projects including jurisdiction audits, annual CPE sponsor renewals, instructor incentive program, and CPA support programs
    • Facilitate training sessions as needed in local office
    • Maintain the firm's compliance reporting system to ensure data accuracy and maintain a process for offsite credit approval and submission
    • Perform other duties as assigned

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
