Kairos Power is a new nuclear energy technology and engineering company whose mission is to enable the world’s transition to clean energy, with the ultimate goal to dramatically improve people’s quality of life while protecting the environment. This goal will be accomplished through the commercialization of the fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactor (FHR) that can be deployed with robust safety, affordable costs, and flexible operation to accommodate the expansion of variable renewables.
Job Summary
Kairos Power is seeking a curious and motivated Learning & Development Intern to support the design and delivery of impactful learning experiences in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. This role is ideal for a student interested in organizational development, leadership development, adult learning, or HR strategy.
You will work closely with the Learning & Development and People Operations teams on real projects that directly support leaders and employees across the company. This is a hands-on internship where you will help build, test, and improve learning programs alongside experienced practitioners.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and rollout of leadership and manager development programs, including programs for first-time managers.
- Assist with creating learning content such as facilitator guides, toolkits, job aids, and microlearning resources.
- Help organize, update, and maintain learning pathways and content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Collect and analyze learner feedback and engagement data to support continuous improvement of learning programs.
- Contribute to performance management enablement tools, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning resources.
- Support onboarding and culture-based learning tied to the Kairos Way and leadership competencies.
- Research learning trends and best practices and help translate insights into practical, usable tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, Business, or a related field.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and learning in a dynamic environment.
- Alignment with a mission-driven, high-accountability culture.
- Demonstrated interest in how people learn and change behavior at work.
- Experience with learning platforms, content creation tools, or facilitation preferred.
- Strong analytical, research, or data interpretation skills preferred.

- Overtime may be required occasionally.
The hourly range for this position is $26 for employees working onsite at our Alameda, CA headquarters. The range provided in this job posting represents the typical range or starting rate of candidates hired in California. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, the market data for your work location, and a comparison to other employees already in the role.
