At MECCA, learning is at the heart of everything we do, empowering our teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences every day. We're looking for a creative and experienced Learning Design Lead to join our Education, Capability & People team on a 9-month Fixed Term contract (Ending 30 April 2027) and help shape the future of learning across the business. 

Working closely with the Learning Design & Experience Manager, you'll design and develop engaging, future-focused blended learning solutions that support our retail, distribution, customer care and support centre teams. This role is instrumental in bringing learning to life through innovative digital and face-to-face experiences that build capability, inspire confidence and support MECCA's continued growth. 

The Role You Could Play: 

Reporting to the Learning Design & Experience Manager, you will lead the design and development of engaging learning experiences across a range of business initiatives. You will: 

  • Design and develop high-quality blended learning solutions, including eLearning modules in Articulate Storyline and Rise 360, facilitator-led workshops and supporting resources. 

  • Manage learning projects end-to-end, partnering with subject matter experts and stakeholders to translate business needs into engaging learning experiences. 

  • Continuously evaluate and improve learning content, using feedback, data and industry trends to ensure learning remains relevant and impactful. 

  • Support the administration and continuous improvement of learning systems, templates and design processes to enhance team efficiency. 

  • Champion modern instructional design practices and emerging learning technologies to elevate the learner experience across MECCA. 

What You Will Bring: 

You are an experienced learning designer with a passion for creating engaging learning experiences and a strong customer-first mindset. Ideally, you will bring: 

  • 3-5 years' experience in instructional or learning design, with a portfolio demonstrating both digital and face-to-face learning solutions. 

  • Advanced experience designing and developing eLearning using Articulate Storyline and/or Rise 360. 

  • Exceptional instructional writing and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into engaging, learner-focused content. 

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate with stakeholders and deliver high-quality outcomes. 

  • Experience in retail or customer-facing environments and a tertiary qualification in Learning, Education or a related field will be highly regarded.
