ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to support our global learning and development transformation. In this role, you will support the design and development of content for asynchronous / eLearning, instructor led training (ILT) and virtual instructor led training (VILT). In addition, you will be responsible for designing high-quality, polished and instructionally sound training decks used for live, virtual, and hybrid trainings.

 
You will leverage your understanding of instructional design principles and your proficiency to create high-quality training solutions that meet the needs of our learners. This role requires deep expertise in training design and training facilitation.
This position is based in our HQ in Costa Mesa, CA and is expected to be in the office minimum 3 days a week. Some travel will be required.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The L&D Manager for Content Design and Facilitation will be responsible for creating engaging learning content and delivering high-impact training programs to support manager growth that can be translated into high performance. This role involves needs analysis, designing tailored content for management development and team development programs, facilitating in-person and virtual workshops, and leveraging data to improve training effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities

  • Training Design & Development:
    • Design and develop engaging, management development and leadership development content for multiple modalities, including Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual ILT (vILT), eLearning, microlearning, and job aids.
    • Create interactive, visually engaging content using authoring tools (e.g., Synthesia, Articulate Rise/Storyline, Canva, Camtasia).
    • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define learning objectives and ensure business alignment.
  • Facilitation & Delivery:
    • Facilitate live and virtual training sessions for employees at various levels, from onboarding to mid level leadership.
    • Utilize interactive techniques (role plays, case studies, simulations) to maximize engagement and retention.
    • Serve as a "train the trainer" capacity for internal team members and SME’s, teaching presentation skills and specific curriculum.
  • Needs Analysis & Strategy:
    • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and align learning solutions with business objectives.
    • Develop and implement L&D strategies for onboarding, professional skills, and management development.
  • Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:
    • Evaluate training effectiveness through surveys, assessments, and data analytics (Kirkpatrick Model).
    • Update and redesign existing training programs based on participant feedback and performance outcomes.
  • Administration & Technology:
    • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) for course deployment, tracking, and reporting. (specifically Cornerstone and Workday)
    • Manage training schedules, materials, and documentation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or Organizational Development
  • 8+ years of Learning and Development experience
  • Expertise in eLearning authoring tools (Synthesia, Articulate 360, Rise) and virtual training platforms (Zoom, Teams)
  • Experience creating and designing soft-skill, behavior and organizational capability learning solutions at scale and bespoke to key audiences
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certifications: CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) or similar.
  • Experience with AI-driven learning tools
  • Experience leveraging data analytics to identify insights, trends, and learning actions
  • Learning Program Management experience, specifically Cornerstone and Workday


US Salary Range
$113,000$149,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
