  • Act as the primary legal owner for product compliance, including data privacy,
content governance, advertising compliance, and platform liability.
  • Advise product and engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, including PRD

    into product design.

service, platform policies, and internal compliance guidelines.
  • Partner with commercial legal team members to ensure contractual frameworks align
with product compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead legal response and preparedness for data incidents, content-related issues, and
regulatory inquiries, working cross-functionally with security, product, and

  • Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting content
platforms, advertising, and consumer-facing products, and translate them into practical,

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in California, or eligible for in-house counsel registration.
  • 5–8+ years of relevant legal experience, with meaningful exposure to product
compliance, privacy, platform, or regulatory matters in a technology or consumer-facing
    company.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with product and engineering teams on complex,
    evolving products.
  • Strong judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
  • Clear and practical communication style; able to explain legal requirements in plain
    language.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and evolving
    priorities.
  • Ability to work in office 4+ days per week

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting content platforms, digital media, or advertising-driven products.
  • Familiarity with privacy, platform liability, or consumer protection laws.
  • Experience supporting high-growth or pre-IPO companies

Even if you do not meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. The most important qualification is strong product intuition, sound legal judgment, and the desire to help build scalable compliance frameworks.
