About Suno

We're building the world's first creative entertainment platform, where the entire world can feel the joy and fulfilment of making music. Music is for everyone: Our users include everyone from grandmothers creating songs for their loved ones, to Grammy winners using Suno Studio, our power tool, to make the most popular hits in the world.

Building the future of entertainment requires ambition. The pace is fast, the problems are hard, and the work demands ownership and intensity. For the right people, it’s incredibly rewarding: a chance to shape a new medium, work with a small team that cares deeply about quality, make music, drink too much coffee, and build something that millions of people use to express themselves in ways that were never before possible.

Suno is the fastest growing consumer entertainment company and the leader in AI music. We are backed by leading investors including Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Matrix Partners, NVentures (venture arm of NVIDIA).

About the Role

We’re looking for a leader to build an AI native legal operations and strategy function from the ground up. You’ll own the systems and workflow architecture that let a small, high-impact legal team scale with one of the fastest-growing companies in AI: contract management, outside counsel coordination, legal tech stack, the workflows that connect legal to every corner of Suno, and cross-functional strategy.

This isn't a traditional legal ops role — we expect you to evaluate, stress-test, and help configure the AI tools that will define how legal teams operate in the next decade. You’ll report to Suno’s General Counsel and work alongside a tight-knit legal team covering legal & business affairs, commercial, litigation, product & privacy, and corporate matters. The measure of success is simple: our most important business initiatives stay unblocked, well-supported, and ahead of the curve.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, implement, and manage Suno’s legal technology stack—contract lifecycle management (CLM), matter management, e-billing, and AI-powered legal tools that match the way we build.

  • Own the end-to-end contract lifecycle from intake and triage through execution and renewal, building scalable processes, templates, and self-service tools that empower the business to move quickly.

  • Manage relationships with outside counsel and legal service providers, including budget tracking, performance evaluation, and strategic allocation of work.

  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards to track legal team performance, spend, and turnaround times—giving leadership clear visibility into how legal operates.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, People Ops, and business teams to ensure legal processes and strategy align with how Suno actually works, not how legal departments traditionally work.

  • Develop and refine legal department infrastructure: playbooks, system design, knowledge management, onboarding materials, and the operational backbone that lets a lean team punch above its weight.

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 8+ years of experience in operations, with at least some time spent in legal operations specifically. We welcome lawyers who like to code to apply as well.

  • Proven track record of building or scaling legal operations functions from early stages — you’ve done the zero-to-one work before.

  • Deep understanding of how to leverage AI-powered legal tools and emerging legal tech—bonus points if you’ve built workflows around them.

  • Expertise in legal technology, including CLM platforms (e.g., Ironclad, DocuSign CLM, Agiloft), e-billing systems, and matter management tools.

  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset—you build dashboards, not just spreadsheets.

  • Excellent project management instincts, with the ability to run multiple initiatives simultaneously without dropping threads.

Nice-to-haves (we encourage you to apply even if you don’t check every box):

  • Experience at a high-growth technology or AI company navigating ambiguity and rapid change.

  • Background in contract management, paralegal work, or legal practice.

  • CLOC certification or equivalent legal operations training.

  • Experience managing outside counsel in complex IP, regulatory, or litigation-heavy environments.

Perks & Benefits for Full-Time Employees
  • Company Equity Package

  • 401(k) with 3% Employer Match & Roth 401(k)

  • Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance (PPO w/ HSA & FSA options)

  • 11 Paid Holidays + Unlimited PTO & Sick Time

  • 16 Weeks of Paid Parental Leave

  • Creative Education Stipend

  • Generous Commuter Allowance

  • In-Office Lunch

Why This Role is Special

Most legal ops roles ask you to optimize existing systems. This one asks you to build them. You'll join a legal team at the ground floor and have the rare opportunity to implement processes that will scale with us as we grow. Your fingerprints will be on everything we build.

Additional Notes:
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the US

  • This role requires working on site in our Los Angeles or San Francisco office

Suno is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, marital or family status, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other legally protected basis under provincial, federal, state, and local laws, regulations, or ordinances. We will also consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of state and local laws, including the Massachusetts Fair Chance in Employment Act, NYC Fair Chance Act, LA City Fair Chance Ordinance, and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
