About the role

The Legal Operations Manager will be responsible for optimizing the Legal & Compliance Department’s day-to-day operations by standardizing & improving processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and monitoring departmental key metrics. The Legal Operations Manager is a highly organized, strategic, tech-savvy, and autonomous individual able to collaborate with Leadership to support broader business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution of Legal Department processes and standard operating procedures.

  • Develop, implement, and manage key operational metrics and dashboards in collaboration with the Chief Legal Officer to measure team performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Provide some paralegal responsibilities, including contract intake and tracking, and management of regulatory and corporate filings.

  • Drive process improvement initiatives from planning to execution, ensuring adoption and scalability.

  • Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and integration of core Legal technology platforms, tools, and systems.

  • Own Legal Department knowledge management initiatives, including the development of departmental playbooks, driving tech-enabled organization of critical legal records, and developing and providing related training.

  • Manage relationships with vendors and outside counsel, including onboarding, performance tracking, and budget adherence.

  • Partner with Compliance to develop and implement Legal and Compliance policies and procedures for the Company.

  • Prepare engaging and impactful reports and presentations using Google Slides.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in legal operations or legal project management.

  • Proven track record managing legal technology tools and legal process optimization initiatives.

  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at a time.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in technology tools including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and ticketing systems such as Jira.

  • Ability to deliver synthesized data insights to senior leadership using data analysis tools including Excel & Sheets.

  • Strong writing and analytical skills, including proven experience developing impactful business reports and presentations for Leadership teams.

Physical Demands

Work is performed 100% from home with no requirement to travel. This is a stationary position that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
