We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our Irvine office is looking for a Legal Support Specialist to join our growing team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will provide overall administrative-level support to the practice group in support of unlawful detainer cases filed.

Compensation: $23-$28/hour DOE + benefits


Responsibilities:


  • Provide overall administrative-level support to the practice group
  • Contact clients via phone and email to obtain missing documents
  • Perform e-filing in support of unlawful detainer cases
  • Draft notices, letters, and stipulations for unlawful detainer cases
  • Make calls to court for processing of trial matters
  • Request trial dates and prepare files for trial 
  • Review leases, legal forms, and correspondence for detail-oriented, specific information
  • Communicate with clients to obtain missing information and follow up on the status of cases
  • Assist with case intake by performing data entry with a high level of accuracy
  • Sort and distribute mail, and perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:


We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:


  • Previous administrative office experience in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Professional communication skills via telephone and email
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Typing speed of 65+ wpm and versatile computer skills
  • Must provide writing samples showcasing writing style

The following qualifications are preferred:


  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent training/experience
  • Previous experience working in a law firm or legal environment
  • ProLaw experience

Schedule:


Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.


We currently offer a hybrid work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor.
