🚀 Why Join OpenArt
  • Own a core growth function and see its impact on activation, paid conversion, and retention.

  • Work closely with Product, Growth, Data, and Creative to shape how creators experience OpenArt.

🎯 About the Role

We’re looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Lead to help creators reach a first successful creation, come back, discover more of the product, and get lasting value from a subscription. You’ll build adaptive journeys across email and, with Product, in-app channels, while nurturing enterprise prospects from initial interest through sales handoff.

This is a hands-on role: find opportunities in user behavior, write the messages, build and QA campaigns, and measure whether they change outcomes. The product and its audiences move quickly, so you should be comfortable working without a fixed playbook and improving the system as you learn. You’ll work closely with the Growth team, Data, and Marketing.

🛠 What You’ll Do
  • Map the journey from signup through activation, repeat creation, conversion, retention, and reactivation; prioritize the highest-impact gaps.

  • Build behavior-triggered onboarding, education, upgrade, and win-back journeys. Decide who to message, when, through which channel, and when to stop.

  • Build B2B nurture for new accounts, including event and webinar follow-up, lead signals, and sales handoffs; partner with Enterprise GTM and RevOps.

  • Write clear email and in-app copy; build and QA campaigns, personalization, frequency limits, and suppression rules.

  • Partner with the Growth PM, engineers, and Data on product events, in-app opportunities, and experiments. Use A/B tests or holdouts where feasible to measure incremental impact.

  • Work with Product Marketing on launch messaging and with Growth Marketing on shared activation and conversion goals.

  • Own lifecycle tooling, deliverability, and reporting; use results to improve journeys as the product and user behavior change.

What Success Looks Like
  • Measurable improvement in activation, repeat use, paid conversion, retention, or qualified enterprise lead progression attributable to lifecycle programs.

  • Creators receive timely, relevant guidance that helps them make more with OpenArt.

🔎 What We’re Looking For
Required
  • 7+ years in lifecycle, CRM, retention, or growth marketing, including 4+ years owning B2C subscription or self-serve lifecycle programs.

  • 3+ years hands-on with a platform such as Customer.io, Braze, or Iterable. You have personally built event-triggered journeys, segments, and personalized campaigns.

  • Working knowledge of templating and email production, such as Liquid and email HTML/CSS, and experience with email plus at least one other owned channel.

  • A measurable record of improving activation, conversion, engagement, or retention; fluency with cohorts, A/B tests, and campaign and product analytics.

  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, with sound judgment on deliverability, consent, QA, and message frequency.

  • Comfort with ambiguity: you can turn incomplete data and a changing product into a practical plan, ship it, and improve it with evidence.

Strong Plus
  • Hands-on B2B or enterprise lifecycle experience, including lead nurture, event follow-up, and sales handoffs.

  • Experience building a lifecycle program from an early stage, including its operating model and team as it scaled.

  • SQL or experience with CDPs, event pipelines, and product analytics tools.

  • Experience with creator tools, AI products, international audiences, or localization.

💰 Compensation
  • Total compensation: $200,000–$250,000, including base salary, bonus, and equity.

  • Final package will depend on experience and scope.

🌍 Work Setup
  • San Francisco Bay Area; onsite preferred.

  • Full-time role with close collaboration across product, growth, data, and creative teams.
