About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Product Marketing for LifeLock. This leader will own the full product marketing strategy for LifeLock within the Trust Based Solutions segment. Responsibilities include positioning, messaging, customer insights, go to market execution, product launches, competitive intelligence and strategic market expansion.  As Gen expands the LifeLock brand into Financial Wellness, the Director of Product Marketing for LifeLock will also play a key role in shaping how these capabilities come to life for LifeLock members. The role will also contribute to early phase M&A and partnership scouting by identifying market opportunities, adjacencies, emerging competitors, and complementary solution categories.

This is a senior, individual contributor, cross-functional leadership role that requires strong strategic skills, clear communication, and the ability to operate at both the executive level and the hands-on level.
 

Responsibilities

Product and Market Strategy

  • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics, market trends, and emerging threats in identity protection and financial wellness.
  • Translate market and customer insights into recommendations that influence product direction and strategic priorities for LifeLock.
  • Partner with Product leadership to guide roadmap decisions.

Positioning, Messaging, and Narrative Development

  • Own the messaging architecture and value proposition for LifeLock, including the extension of the brand into financial wellness.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across website content, acquisition marketing, in-product experiences, lifecycle communications, and sales enablement.

Go To Market Leadership and Product Launches

  • Lead go to market planning for all new product launches, proposition tests, feature releases, and pricing changes, including channel plans, launch tiers, and success metrics.
  • Define launch tiers, goals, readiness plans, and cross functional coordination
  • Ensure effective collaboration across Product, Integrated Marketing, Legal, Customer Support.

Competitive Intelligence

  • Maintain a competitive landscape view across identity protection, including how competitors are offering financial wellness features and what fintech competitors are extending into identity theft protection
  • Provide clear insights to Product, Integrated Marketing and Executive Leadership.

Strategic Market Expansion including M&A and Partnerships

  • Identify emerging players, adjacent opportunities, and whitespace categories relevant to LifeLock and the broader Trust Based Solutions segment.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Development or Sales through market and customer analysis for early-stage M&A or partnership evaluations.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Serve as the senior product marketing leader for LifeLock within the Trust Based Solutions segment.
  • Influence and partner with Product, Trust Based Solutions leadership, and other senior stakeholders across Gen.
  • Promote a culture of customer insight, data-driven thinking, and go to market excellence.

Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of combined experience across Product Marketing, Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting or related domains with at least four years’ experience in Product Marketing.
  • Experience in subscription businesses or in categories such as identity theft protection, cybersecurity, financial services or financial wellness is preferred.
  • Proven success leading complex go-to-market programs and major product launches.
  • Strong strategic thinking, structured problem-solving capabilities, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong storytelling, communication, and writing skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts based on target segments.
  • Experience working with or supporting M&A or partnership evaluation is beneficial.

Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment and influence senior stakeholders.

Salary Ranges:
$218,900.00 - $264,700.00

The pay range depicts a base salary range for all positions except commission-based roles.  The pay range for commission-based roles represents On Target Earnings (annual base salary + target annual commission).  Additional compensation elements may be offered including an opportunity for bonus incentives and also competitive benefits package.  Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as the external/internal market demand, location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
