The Logistics Operations Specialist at HQ plays a critical role in ensuring materials, equipment, and shipments move efficiently, safely, and compliantly throughout the organization. This role supports day-to-day logistics and workplace operations across Workplace Operations, Solutions Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and other cross-functional teams. The position serves as a key onsite partner responsible for shipping and receiving, equipment movement, logistics coordination, workplace support, and employee facing operational activities.

Key Responsibilities1. Logistics Operations & Shipping (≈60%)
  • Support day-to-day shipping and receiving operations across HQ, ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.

  • Receive, organize, and distribute inbound packages, freight, and deliveries from carriers including FedEx, UPS, DHL, and freight providers.

  • Coordinate domestic and international outbound shipments, including shipment preparation, packaging, labeling, and carrier scheduling.

  • Support movement of drones, docks, demo equipment, engineering prototypes and parts, batteries shipments, test hardware, freight shipments, and internal equipment transfers.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for carrier pickups, shipment tracking, and delivery issues.

  • Coordinate local courier requests and urgent deliveries.

  • Maintain shipping supplies, packaging materials, and logistics workspaces.

  • Support freight coordination, pallet shipments, and large equipment movements.

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of logistics staging areas, receiving spaces, pallet areas, and shared storage locations.

  • Assist employees with shipping requests, packaging guidance, and logistics-related questions.

  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of logistics and receiving areas to identify issues or improvement opportunities.

2. Logistics Coordination & Process Improvement (≈25%)
  • Partner with Workplace Operations, Solutions Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and other teams to support efficient movement of equipment and materials.

  • Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, freight providers, and logistics vendors as needed.

  • Support Dangerous Goods (DG) shipment preparation and documentation workflows.

  • Help maintain shipping records, tracking information, and logistics documentation.

  • Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency, reduce costs, and standardize processes.

  • Assist with development and maintenance of logistics procedures, documentation, and best practices.

  • Support reporting and analysis of shipping activity, costs, and operational metrics.

  • Drive consistent and cost-effective shipping practices across HQ.

3. Workplace Operations Support (≈15%)
  • Assist with setup, execution, and breakdown of onsite events, all-hands meetings, customer visits, leadership briefings, and employee engagement activities.

  • Support room setup, furniture movement, signage placement, and event logistics.

  • Assist with workplace projects, office moves, and space reconfigurations as needed.

  • Coordinate delivery, staging, and setup of event materials and equipment.

  • Help maintain organization and readiness of common areas and shared spaces.

  • Support onsite vendor coordination and access for workplace related services.

  • Provide general operational support for employee facing programs and workplace initiatives.

  • Partner with Workplace Operations to ensure a high quality onsite employee experience.

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, supply chain support, workplace operations, or a related role.

  • Comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, carriers, internal teams, and employees across a variety of functions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience working with parcel carriers such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, and freight forwarders.

  • Ability to lift and move packages and equipment up to 75 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or other technical organizations.

  • Familiarity with domestic and international shipping and customs processes.

  • Experience coordinating freight shipments.

  • Familiarity with Dangerous Goods (DG) shipping requirements, including certification or experience supporting lithium ion battery shipments.

Compensation: At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000*. Fundamentally, we believe that equity is the key to long-term financial growth, and we ensure all regular, full-time employees have the opportunity to significantly benefit from the company's success. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s group health insurance plans. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to receive the following benefits: Paid vacation time, sick leave, holiday pay and 401K savings plan.
