As a Machinist - Level 3 here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our machining processes run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards, while optimizing production schedules. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals and customer requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining and improving our manufacturing operations to increase savings and better serve our customers.

In this role, you will impact and improve the supply chain planning & execution process within the SBG business. You will execute the vision and goals for your Materials Planning function and manage the people and processes to achieve excellence in SIOP, supply planning, inventory & replenishment planning management, and resolution of supply chain issues.

Responsibilities

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in the setup and operation of CNC machine tools to produce parts with a high degree of difficulty and tight tolerances. 
  • Familiarity with Haas/Fanuc style controls helpful.
  • CAD/CAM experience, preferably ACAD software and MasterCam.
  • Manual mill and lathe experience.
  • Ability to machine standard materials (aluminum, steels, plastics) but also do graphite machining or other less common materials.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of machining processes, including fixturing and tooling design and selection.
  • Ability to perform basic precision measurements on parts using inspection tools including calipers, micrometers and various gauges.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work (with engineers, managers, and technicians) successfully as part of a team.
  • Follow guidelines for working safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated record of dependability, reliability, and commitment to the long-term needs of the job duties.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 4 years machining or similar experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the proper application and interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to ASME Y14.5 standard
  • Minimum of 2 years doing basic to intermediate maintenance on machines, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce precision parts according to specifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Hourly Range - $36.88 - $46.00. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base bay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
