The Mail Orderly will receive, sort, and dispatch official and personal mail, manage mail receptacles, maintain directories, ensure security compliance, and transport mail to Fleet Mail Center Rota using a government vehicle.

- Receive, sort, and dispatch official and personal mail in compliance with DoD and USPS standards.
- Assign and manage mail receptacles and virtual mailboxes for command personnel.
- Maintain directory services, forwarding addresses, and locator files for all assigned patrons.
- Ensure compliance with security procedures, including restricted access to UMR and regular lock/combination changes.
- Transport mail to and from Fleet Mail Center (FMC) Rota using a government-owned vehicle.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 70 lbs; prolonged standing, walking, and bending required.
- Knowledge/Skills:
Familiarity with DoD, OPNAV, NAVSUP, and USPS postal regulations.
Ability to maintain locator files, directories, and supportive material.
Experience with official and personal mail processing.
- Licensing: Possess valid state and government driver’s licenses.
- Training: Must complete Mail Orderly training from FMC Rota prior to assuming duties.
