Join Aprio's Corporate Development team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio Advisory Group, LLC is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Manager, Aprio Ventures to join their dynamic team.
The Aprio Ventures Manager will serve as a front-line representative of Aprio within the venture community. This individual will actively source deals, maintain relationships with venture capital firms, founders, and advisors, and play a critical role in coordinating investment activities. The Manager will also contribute significantly to the growth of Aprio Ventures’ brand through events, conferences, and thought leadership.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Deal Sourcing & Venture Ecosystem Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with VC investment teams.
- Represent Aprio Ventures at conferences, industry events, and ecosystem gatherings.
- Actively identify, source, and evaluate new investment opportunities.
- Bring qualified opportunities to the Aprio Ventures Investment Committee (“IC”)
2. Advisory Board & Talent Sourcing
- Identify and cultivate relationships with founders, operators, and Aprio partners for advisory board positions at companies invested in.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective advisors relevant to active and future investments.
3. Investor Day & Portfolio Support
- Support planning, preparation, and execution of Aprio Ventures’ Investor Day.
- Assist portfolio companies in identifying tools, technologies, and services beneficial to their business operations.
- Serve as a liaison to ensure portfolio needs are communicated internally.
4. Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders
- Work closely with Chief Technology Officer, VP of App Dev & Automation, Senior Director of AI Transformation and other internal practice and technology teams.
- Produce investment materials, diligence summaries, and pipeline reporting.
- Engage cross-functionally with Aprio business units to leverage firmwide strengths.
5. Brand Building, Marketing & Presence Expansion
- Strengthen Aprio Ventures’ external visibility through strategic event participation, networking, and content collaboration.
- Identify speaking opportunities, partnership events, and ecosystem programs for Aprio leadership.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives designed to elevate the Ventures brand.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Prior experience in venture capital, startup operations, private equity, or a related high-growth environment preferred.
- Strong networking instincts and ability to build authentic, long-term relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to evaluate early-stage companies.
- High energy level, proactive approach, and comfort working in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams.
