We’re looking for a Manager, Art & Design Direction to lead the visual expression of our brand across content, campaigns, and digital experiences. This is a player-coach role for someone with exceptional taste, a strong design point of view, and the ability to execute at a high level while managing and mentoring a small team.

About the Role

As Manager, Art & Design Direction, you will sit at the intersection of brand and content, shaping how Poshmark shows up visually across every touchpoint — from social and editorial to campaigns and brand moments.

You’ll partner closely with the Fashion & Creative Director to translate strategic vision into compelling visual execution, while setting the day-to-day creative standard for your team. This role requires someone who can move seamlessly from concept to execution — equally comfortable building a campaign mood board as they are working in Figma or AI-assisted design tools to bring ideas to life. Will be responsible managing all creative projects for the Revenue team.

What You’ll DoCreative Direction & Visual Execution
  • Own the visual direction for brand and creative content initiatives, from concept through final delivery

  • Develop and maintain a cohesive visual language across all channels — social, campaigns, editorial, digital, and marketing collateral

  • Concept and produce high-quality visual assets that reflect Poshmark’s brand and resonate with our community

  • Bring a fashion-forward, culturally relevant perspective to all creative work, staying ahead of trends in fashion, retail, and visual culture

Team Leadership
  • Manage and mentor a small team of creatives (designers and copywriter), providing clear, actionable feedback

  • Prioritize and allocate work across the team, balancing creative quality with timelines and business needs

  • Foster a culture of craft, curiosity, and high creative standards

  • Partner closely with the Creative & Fashion Director to align on vision and escalate key creative decisions

Project & Production Management
  • Own the end-to-end creative production process: briefing, concepting, execution, review, and delivery

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational rigor (timelines, asset tracking, stakeholder reviews)

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Marketing, Growth, Partnerships, and other teams to deliver impactful creative

  • Ensure all deliverables are on-brand, on-time, and meet a high quality bar

Tools, Asset Management & Creative Operations
  • Stay current on emerging design tools, AI-assisted creative workflows, and new platforms

  • Introduce new processes and efficiencies without compromising creative quality

  • Champion the use of best-in-class tools across the creative workflow

  • Own and maintain the shared creative file system, including:

    • Folder structure and organization

    • Naming conventions and version control

    • Access management across teams

  • Establish and enforce standards to ensure creative assets are scalable, accessible, and easy to use across the organization

  • Serve as the central point of coordination for creative assets, ensuring seamless collaboration across Brand, Marketing, and cross-functional teams

What We’re Looking ForCreative & Design
  • 5–8 years of experience in art direction, design, or creative content, ideally within fashion, e-commerce, or consumer brands

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional taste across typography, color, composition, and visual storytelling

  • Experience directing and producing both still and motion content (photo, video, social, campaign)

  • Deep interest in fashion, style, and visual culture

Technical Skills
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere)

  • Strong working knowledge of Figma and design systems

  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools (e.g., Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, RunwayML, or similar)

  • Experience designing across digital formats: social, web, email, and digital OOH

Leadership & Management

  • Experience managing or leading creative teams, formally or in a project leadership capacity

  • Strong communicator who can provide clear, constructive creative direction

  • Ability to balance hands-on creative work with team leadership responsibilities

Project Management

  • Highly organized with experience managing multiple projects across stakeholders and timelines

  • Comfortable using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, Notion)

  • Ability to scope work, anticipate risks, and keep projects moving efficiently

Bonus Points

  • Background or strong interest in resale, secondhand fashion, or the creator economy

  • Experience working with influencer or creator content workflows

  • Familiarity with performance-driven or growth marketing creative
