As BSDS Lead, you will be responsible for developing and deploying Data Analytics tools, Data Visualization, maintenance of Make data integrity and providing business support and direction in the development of Next Generation MES solutions. You will also be responsible for supporting the deployment of the Next Generation MES and ERP solutions across all Surgical Vision Sites.

In this role, you will provide strategic direction for Surgical Vision’s Manufacturing Business Systems, support the development and execution of the MAKE Digital / Data Solutions Roadmap in conjunction with the Manufacturing For the Future (MFF) team, Operations, Engineering, Automation, Quality, IT, and other key functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This is a critical role within the Organization that is responsible for the development and cross site standardization of Business Systems, Data Analytics, maintenance of Make data integrity and providing Business Support and direction of Business Systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • The role provides strategic direction for Vision Cares Business Systems and supports the development and execution of Make Digital / Data Solutions road map in conjunction with IT, Manufacturing for the Future (MFF), Operations, Engineering, Automation, Process Excellence, Quality and other key functions. Development of new business system solutions and maintenance of data integrity and current Production Data tools, designed to increase OEE, & productivity, improve quality and compliance and customer service.
  • Configuration and testing of the Next Generation Manufacturing Execution System (MES) functionality from initial concept to final design and implementation. This will be achieved through the mapping of customer requirements to MES functionality and the creation of user stories, thereby ensuring it can be successfully deployed across all functional areas of the Business in Milpitas.
  • Provide support and technical expertise for the current Business Systems, data tools including MES, Top N, Functional and site metrics, etc.
  • Build relationships with Ops, Engineering, Quality and Automation to identify potential new business / process optimization opportunities
  • Development of key strategic relationships and strong collaboration with other J&J sites, key stakeholders, service providers, vendors and third level institutions, to facilitate sharing of standard methodologies, new ideas and insights.
  •  Investigate issues and carry out troubleshooting and fault-finding where required for Make Business Systems, Data tools and system interfaces.
  • Establish and set appropriate norms and behaviors for all members of the Make Business Systems & Solutions team.
  • Ensure the BSDS team, work in accordance with latest Medical Device Regulatory and Quality compliance requirements, while instilling and promoting a mind-set of continuous improvement. Ensure work is delivered to the requisite quality, within budget, and to agreed timelines and ensure issues are called out and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Perform the Role of Business Product Owner for Site Systems in Milpitas, CA.
  • Perform the role of Business Product Owner (BPO) for ERP HPT Squad for JJSV.
  • Act as Make representative on the Digital Council
  • Ensure Business Systems are managed in such a way as to support harmonization and standardization between the 2 sites where it makes business sense and ensure all systems delivered are in line with Enterprise standards and support future SC Technology Landscape.
  • Manage Capital Appropriation Requests for Site Systems including MSP and MFF developments
  • Support Milpitas, CA site requests for new Data Visualizations for Make to support OEE Growth.
  • Responsible for people development with specific focus on building a diverse pipeline ensuring succession plans for key positions are identified and developed

Qualifications

Qualifications, Education and Experience Required for Role:

Essential:

  • Production/Engineering Management Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a production management or senior supervisory role within a multinational company.
  • Minimum of 18 months experience in existing role for internal candidates.
  • Previous experience within the Healthcare/Medical Devices sector.

Desirable:

  • Comprehensive Intuition for Business on end-to-end Supply Chain

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$118,000.00 - $203,550.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
• Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
• Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
• Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
• Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
• Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
• Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
• Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
• Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
• Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
