Chart Retrieval Outreach focuses on contacting hospital facilities and physician provider groups to obtain copies of patient medical charts. Contact is made usually through email/phone conversation, and medical charts are received through various channels, including fax, portal, electronic medical record systems, and in person photocopying.
As a Manager in the Chart Retrieval Outreach area, you will oversee a staff of about 60 people across 5 teams, ensuring that the highest possible number of usable medical charts are collected within specified time frames. This requires the Manager to have a strong understanding of complex processes as a foundation to build strategy, establish operational standards, and optimize resource utilization. An effective manager has strong communications and relationship skills, a good understanding of AI and technical solutioning, and the ability to collect and utilize data to drive decision making.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

- Provide reporting and attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Support internal quality assurance efforts

Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of healthcare experience
- 3+ years of contact center experience
- 3+ years managing people
- Experience initiating and driving efficiency improvement projects from start to finish
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within a large organization
- Understanding of chart retrieval processes
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel and formulas
- Proven employee management and leadership skills
- Proven solid presentation skills
- Proven solid verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Located within 50 miles of a UHG office
