OVERVIEW 

Department: Commercial Operations    
FLSA Status: Exempt    
Job Location: Remote   
Reports to: Senior Director of Commercial Management 

Element Critical is seeking a Manager, Commercial Planning & Analytics to join our Commercial Operations team. The ideal candidate embodies our core values of accountability, integrity, grit, and problem-solving, and brings a passion for translating complex data into clear, actionable business intelligence. 

This role sits at the intersection of capacity planning and commercial analytics, owning the reporting infrastructure and analytical frameworks that enable Element Critical’s commercial team to make faster, more confident decisions. The position partners closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure capacity data is accurate, accessible, and actionable across all markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:    

  • Own and maintain capacity reporting across all Element Critical data center sites, providing real-time visibility into power, space, and connectivity availability to support sales pipeline management and operational planning 
  • Design, build, and maintain commercial dashboards and reporting tools that deliver actionable insights into product profitability, deal economics, and portfolio performance for senior leadership and the commercial team 
  • Develop and manage customer inventory and capacity tracking processes within NetSuite, ensuring data integrity and forecast accuracy to support contractual compliance, renewal planning, and scalable portfolio growth 
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards, KPIs, and reporting cadences that ensure consistency and reliability across commercial analytics, building organizational confidence in data-driven decision-making 
  • Serve as a strategic partner to cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, Finance, and Operations, driving the development of scalable workflows, tools, and systems that support commercial growth and market expansion 

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered 
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial operations, capacity planning, or a closely related analytics function; data center, colocation, or technology infrastructure experience strongly preferred 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex modeling, capacity reporting) and PowerPoint; ability to distill complex data into clear, executive-ready presentations 
  • Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP/CRM platforms; familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and Visio is a plus 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with strong organizational discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach; comfortable working with ambiguous data sets and translating findings into clear business recommendations
