The Manager, Commercial Strategy & Planning PMO will play a pivotal role in driving alignment, discipline, and execution across the Commercial and Partnerships organization. This role is responsible for shaping and maintaining the consolidated commercial and partnerships plan, overseeing the project intake and prioritization process, and ensuring cross-functional initiatives are delivered effectively. The ideal candidate brings a strong PMO background, exceptional data literacy, and the ability to navigate complex interdependencies to enable informed and timely decision-making.

What you'll be doing

  • Own and maintain the consolidated Commercial & Partnerships plan, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Lead the intake, evaluation, and prioritization funnel for commercial projects, enabling transparent decision-making on scope, resourcing, and timing.
  • Establish and continuously enhance PMO governance standards, frameworks, and operating rhythms.
  • Monitor and manage the progress of key commercial initiatives, tracking milestones, risks, and interdependencies across teams.
  • Drive comprehensive status reporting, delivering clear, data-driven insights to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure cross-functional teams are aligned on project requirements, timelines, and expectations.
  • Liaise closely with Product and Technology teams to ensure a joined-up approach across commercial, product, and technical roadmaps.
  • Coordinate dependencies and timelines to ensure commercial needs are integrated into product planning and delivery processes.
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and business impacts across the commercial portfolio, ensuring early escalation and mitigation planning.
  • Map and manage operational and strategic interdependencies to safeguard delivery and minimize disruption.
  • Coordinate change management efforts for major commercial initiatives, ensuring stakeholders are engaged, informed, and prepared.
  • Support the adoption of new ways of working by aligning teams on processes, timelines, and expectations.
  • Utilize PM tools and analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and support scenario planning.
  • Build and manage dashboards and reporting mechanisms to enable data-driven decision-making across the Commercial & Partnerships team.
     

What we need from you

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a PMO, strategy, or program/project management role (preferably within commercial, partnerships, or revenue-focused environments).
  • Demonstrable experience managing portfolio planning, project intake, prioritization processes, and governance frameworks.
  • High proficiency with PMO and collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, Monday.com, MS Project, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret, manipulate, and present data effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive alignment in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Desirable skills

  • Experience in a commercial, strategy, or go-to-market planning function.
  • Exposure to change management methodologies or certification (e.g., Prosci) is an advantage.
