About the Role

Employ Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Manager of Communications to execute our corporate communications function across public relations, internal communications, crisis communications, analyst relations, and executive communications.

This role will be a key contributor to the communications team, working closely with the broader Marketing organization and cross-functional partners to help Employ communicate effectively during moments of growth, change, and transformation. The ideal candidate is execution-oriented and collaborative — someone who can manage media and agency relationships, develop clear messaging, support executive visibility, and keep communications efforts running smoothly across a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

    Public Relations & Corporate Communications
  • Execute Employ’s PR and corporate communications programs, managing day-to-day agency relationships and tracking performance against goals
  • Develop and refine messaging for company announcements, product news, and key business moments
  • Identify proactive media opportunities and monitor the media landscape, competitive activity, and industry conversations to surface risks and opportunities
  • Crisis & Change Communications
  • Support planning and execution of communications during sensitive or high-impact business moments, including periods of organizational change
  • Help maintain and refine crisis communications frameworks, messaging, and escalation processes
  • Collaborate with legal, HR, and cross-functional partners to coordinate response during reputation-sensitive situations
  • Internal Communications
  • Execute internal communications across company-wide messaging, organizational updates, and employee engagement initiatives, partnering with HR and leadership to ensure timely and aligned delivery
  • Contribute to internal storytelling that builds transparency, trust, and alignment across the organization
  • Podcast & Thought Leadership
  • Manage end-to-end production of the company podcast and thought leadership content programs, overseeing timelines, publishing coordination, and brand consistency
  • Identify and recruit guests including customers, partners, executives, and industry leaders; develop episode narratives, interview outlines, scripts, and prep materials; and facilitate speaker prep and stakeholder approvals
  • Coordinate with creative and design teams on promotional assets and execute distribution strategies across social, PR, content, email, and executive channels
  • Analyst Relations
  • Coordinate analyst briefings, reporting initiatives, and ongoing engagement with key industry analysts in partnership with Product Marketing and leadership
  • Support the articulation of Employ’s positioning and narrative within the HR technology landscape
  • Executive Communications
  • Support executive visibility initiatives including thought leadership content, bylines, and speaking opportunities
  • Partner with marketing, HR, legal, and product teams to align messaging and maintain consistency across the organization
  • Team & Operational Support
  • May manage or mentor junior communications team members, providing clear direction and development feedback
  • Help maintain communications planning calendars, workflows, and operational processes to keep the function running efficiently

What You Bring:

  • 4–7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate communications
  • Experience executing communications programs within B2B, SaaS, technology, or HR technology organizations preferred
  • Hands-on experience managing PR agency relationships and external communications partners
  • Demonstrated experience supporting crisis communications and executive communications initiatives
  • Strong writing, messaging, and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and partnering with senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environments
  • Preferred (but not required) Qualifications
  • Experience within HR technology, SaaS, or enterprise technology industries
  • Familiarity with analyst relations, brand positioning, or thought leadership programs
  • Experience working through periods of organizational change, transformation, or rapid growth
