The Opportunity

The Manager, Compensation Programs is responsible for the development, administration, communication, and continuous improvement of enterprise compensation and performance-related programs. This role leads key annual compensation processes including merit planning, incentive and bonus programs, performance management process, mid-year pay and promotions process, salary structure(s), market survey administration and system, and leading Total Rewards statements process.

The position partners closely with Vice President, Compensation, Compensation team, Total Rewards senior leadership, HR Business Partners, Payroll, HRIS, Finance, and business leaders to ensure compensation programs align with organizational strategy, support pay-for-performance objectives and maintain market competitiveness and compliance. This is a working manager role with hands-on development and execution of the compensation programs, and team development.

Day in the Life

  • Manage the development, testing, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise compensation programs, including annual merit, bonus, performance management, mid-year promotions and pay review, and total rewards statement processes.
  • Manage the annual compensation planning cycle, including salary increases, incentive funding, market adjustments, salary structure administration, and related cost and accrual estimates.
  • Lead the annual bonus program (VIP) to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and pay-for-performance philosophy.
  • Lead the annual performance management process, including system administration, testing, communications, training, timelines, and reporting.
  • Oversee the development, testing, and distribution process of annual Total Rewards Statements.
  • Partner with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, Technology, and other stakeholders to support compensation-related systems, process enhancements, and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver compensation program communications, leader resources, training materials, and presentations.
  • Ensure compensation programs comply with applicable laws, regulations, governance standards, and company policies.
  • Analyze compensation and performance program effectiveness, utilizing market data, workforce metrics, and organizational insights to recommend improvements.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, executive reports, and key performance metrics related to compensation programs.
  • Support salary structure management, pay equity analyses, and compensation governance initiatives.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to HR Business Partners and business leaders regarding compensation programs, policies, and practices.
  • Lead special projects and strategic initiatives, including process redesign, system implementations, integrations, and organizational changes supporting the VP, Compensation and SVP, Total Rewards
  • Maintain program documentation, procedures, and internal controls to ensure consistency, accuracy, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related field preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or similar certification preferred.
  • Ten (10) or more years of progressive direct compensation experience required.
  • Seven (7) or more years leading compensation programs (i.e. annual bonus, merit, performance management).
  • Two (2) or more years experience overseeing  Compensation direct reports or a team.
  • Seven (7) or more years experience working with compensation programs and structures, HRIS, reporting, and incentive compensation systems. Workday experience preferred.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders in a complex business environment required.
  • Stront project management skills required.
  • Experience performing compensation analyses, incentive modeling, forecasting, and financial evaluations required.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing compensation-related decisions.

Pay Equity

$117,000.00 - $152,100.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
