Job Description

CyberArk is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our Machine Identity Security team, responsible for the Control Plane—our cloud platform that secures machine identities at scale. In this role, you will lead a high-impact engineering team, drive the evolution of our next generation Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) capabilities, and shape how global organizations manage, automate, and protect their machine identities.

What you will do:

  • Serve as a hands-on technical leader, guiding a team of software engineers across frontend and backend domains to deliver end to end solutions.
  • Partner closely with Engineering Leadership, Product Management, UX, and cross functional stakeholders to align execution with product strategy.
  • Define team goals, set clear expectations, and coordinate execution to ensure predictable, high quality delivery.
  • Coach and mentor engineers through 1:1s, feedback, and career development, fostering trust, alignment, and a culture of ownership.
  • Promote modern engineering practices that improve communication, collaboration, and autonomous decision making.
  • Support and guide the team as they tackle complex technical challenges, facilitating structured problem solving and architectural thinking.
  • Work across teams to strengthen cross functional execution, remove blockers, and drive engineering excellence.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience and 2+ years of experience as an engineering manager.
  • Strong background in building modern, scalable backend and/or web applications.
  • Curiosity and passion for security fundamentals—especially x509, PKI, and certificate issuance protocols such as ACME and SCEP. You enjoy reading RFCs and delivering robust, end to end solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative leadership mindset.
  • Ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly and build deep domain expertise in the machine identity security space.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 – $235,000/year, plus commissions or discretionary bonus, which will be based on the employee’s performance. Base pay may also vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits.
