About SiTime

SiTime is the Precision Timing company.

Timing is the heartbeat of all electronics, ensuring performance, resilience and scalability. For decades, quartz devices, non-silicon technology, have kept systems in sync, but they struggle in harsher, more demanding environments. MEMS-based Precision Timing delivers greater accuracy, smaller size and resilience. Today, MEMS timing powers over 400 applications, including high-growth ones in AI datacenters, automated driving, industrial and humanoid robots, wearables and IoT.

Our semiconductor MEMS programmable solutions offer a rich feature set that enables customers to differentiate their products with higher performance, smaller size, lower power, and better reliability. With more than 4 billion devices shipped, SiTime is changing the timing industry. For more information, visit: www.sitime.com.

The Global Payroll Manager leads the strategy, operations, and continuous improvement of payroll processes across the United States, EMEA, Canada, and APAC. This role oversees the accurate and compliant processing of approximately 400 payroll cycles annually worldwide and is responsible for developing a high‑performing team, strengthening vendor relationships, ensuring rigorous audit readiness, and driving analytics that inform business decisions.

The ideal candidate brings deep multi‑country payroll expertise, exceptional management capabilities, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to operate autonomously at both strategic and execution levels in a fast‑growing global organization.

Responsibilities

Global Payroll Leadership & Operations

  • Direct end‑to‑end payroll operations across the U.S. and 10+ international countries, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of ~400 payrolls per year.
  • Oversee global third‑party payroll vendors, SLAs, and all statutory requirements across EMEA, Canada, and APAC.
  • Lead cross‑regional process governance, standardization, and documentation for global payroll operations.
  • Ensure consistent application of pay policies, statutory rules, tax regulations, and country‑specific compliance requirements.

Team Management & Cross‑Functional Influence

  • Manage, coach, and develop team members, cultivating a culture of accountability, accuracy, and customer service excellence.
  • Partner closely with HR, Finance & Accounting, Equity Administration, and Legal to ensure integrated processes and seamless data flow.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex payroll issues, global reconciliations, and compliance findings.

Audit, Controls & Compliance

  • Build and maintain robust control frameworks for global payroll, including internal audits, SOX controls (if applicable), and compliance testing.
  • Lead quarter‑end and year‑end payroll activities across all regions, including statutory reporting, benefits reconciliations, and country‑specific year‑end requirements.
  • Ensure accurate processing for bonuses, equity/stock events, off‑cycle payments, garnishments, leave programs, and time‑off policies.

Systems, Data Integrity & Analytics

  • Serve as a systems expert across payroll platforms (ADP, Workday, UKG or equivalent), overseeing integrations, data accuracy, and workflow optimization.
  • Develop advanced reporting and analytics to support Finance and HR, including labor cost analysis, reconciliation reporting, and trend insights.
  • Use advanced Excel and analytical tools to diagnose issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and identify global optimization opportunities.

Strategic Execution & Continuous Improvement

  • Assess existing global payroll processes and lead improvement initiatives to increase accuracy, automation, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Contribute to strategic planning related to technology upgrades, global payroll consolidation, vendor transitions, and new-country setup.
  • Drive operational excellence through structured problem‑solving, KPI monitoring, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, with extensive hands-on expertise managing global payroll across EMEA, Canada, and APAC.
  • Strong experience managing and developing a payroll team.
  • Demonstrated excellence in critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and structured problem‑solving.
  • Advanced Excel skills required; experience with dashboards, complex formulas, and data modeling strongly preferred.
  • Experience with major payroll and HRIS systems (ADP, Workday, UKG, etc.).
  • Proven ability to lead independently, manage competing priorities, and operate with precision under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively across multiple functions and time zones.

Desired Attributes

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into operational improvements.
  • Highly detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy and follow‑through.
  • Strong leadership presence, with the ability to motivate teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and discretion in handling sensitive data.
  • Commitment to continuous optimization and delivering a world‑class global payroll experience.
