About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Manager, HR Operations to join xAI’s People Operations team, where you will lead a global team in delivering seamless HR support to employees and stakeholders across offices worldwide. In this role, you will oversee the entire employee lifecycle, drive process improvements, and ensure data integrity and compliance, all while fostering a positive employee experience. Ideal candidates are consummate professionals with a passion for confidentiality, operational excellence, and scalability, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to support xAI’s mission of building a trusted global digital public square.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, and support a global HR team of professionals across the US, UK, and Singapore.
  • Oversee the whole employee life cycle processes across the globe, guaranteeing consistency and efficiency across all regions including: sending offer letters, managing onboarding (eg., conducting I9s, background checks, access requests), conducting new hire orientation, processing employee data changes (eg, promotions, transfers, compensation adjustments), answering employee and former employee HR questions, managing all offboarding.  
  • Design and execute HR Ops policies including those in our employee handbook (eg., PTO accrual, overtime allocations and hourly schedules, global leaves of absences, one time payments and clawbacks) 
  • Responsibility for contractor, consultant, and vendor management globally (partnering with Finance on expense, onboarding, offboarding, contract renews / extensions).
  • Enable scalability through process improvements and automation. Constantly finding ways to make our operations and processes better and faster.
  • Create, maintain and audit employee files ensuring data integrity and compliance
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of HR generalist experience, with a strong preference for the technology industry.
  • 3+ years of experience as a People Manager, leading HR teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of global HR regulatory requirements and labor laws.
  • Experience with Workday and Jira or other ticketing systems.
  • Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, maintain confidentiality, and complete work with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a client-service mindset and the ability to build strong partnerships with HR, Recruiting, IT, Finance, Legal, Mobility, and People Systems & Analytics teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience driving HR operations in a fast-paced, high-growth tech startup environment.
  • Proven ability to lead global HR projects and implement scalable process improvements.
  • Familiarity with automation tools or technologies to enhance HR operational efficiency.
  • A proactive mindset, with a passion for identifying and recommending continuous process improvements.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience partnering across diverse, global teams.
  • A sense of adaptability and a touch of humor to thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven organization.
Annual Salary Range

$142,000 - $259,000 USD
