Position Summary

The Manager, IAM Engineering plays an important role in the organization by performing several activities related to the company’s Information Technology functions. The role is primarily responsible, under limited to intermittent supervision, for overseeing the suite of services that provision and authenticate identities used by employees, borrowers, and machines. Partner with IAM, Security, Governance and DevOps teams to reduce risk, limit manual efforts, and improve the consistency and scalability of IAM workloads. Manage a team of engineers in the identity access management space; ensure that their time is accounted for and prioritized by business and technology teams.

Compensation 

This role is an exempt position with a Targeted Salary Range of $124,000 to $181,000 annually.

Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.

Essential Functions 

  • Meet or exceed uptime SLAs for a suite of IAM services.
  • Oversee IAM analytics presented to the Information Technology Steering Committee.
  • Collaborate on designs with DevOps and Enterprise Architecture to ensure consistency and best practices.
  • Maintain an IAM engineering roadmap that works to address tech debt and sets the team up for success as the application ecosystem evolves.
  • Partner with project management teams to ensure that IAM engineering time is appropriately tracked and prioritized.
  • Improve observability of IAM processes in partnership with Security, and DevOps teams.
  • Manage the implementation of solutions that adhere to Identity and Security best practices (Zero Trust, least-privilege).
  • Contribute high-quality documentation and diagrams to IAM knowledge base.
  • Serve as an escalation point and SME for any and all IAM related production support.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high standards for code quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree directly related to the position or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum seven years' experience.
  • Minimum one year supervisory or leadership experience.
  • SME and mastery of identity services in Microsoft Azure; Entra Identity Governance and Privileged Identity Management.
  • Experience creating CI/CD pipelines, preferably in GitLab.
  • Experience building and maintaining Terraform modules.
  • Proficiency with Git and one or more scripting or programming languages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required.

Requirements

Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.

Manual Dexterity: Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards

Audio/Visual: Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio, e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.

Environmental:  Office environment – moderate noise, no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

Travel: 5% or less

Mental: Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow.

Schedules: Work is primarily performed during the business week, Monday - Friday; occasional night or weekend may be necessary.
