ABOUT THE TEAM
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Systems Manager to drive innovation and efficiency across our IT toolset and systems. This role will be instrumental in shaping our IT systems roadmap, focusing on leveraging advanced technologies like AI-powered ITSM agents and automation to enhance service delivery and streamline operations. You will work at our headquarters in Costa Mesa. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing management of our IT tools, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage the IT Tool Roadmap: Define, prioritize, and execute the roadmap for key IT operational tools, including ITSM platforms, AI agents, automation tools, Jira, and asset management systems like Oomnitza.
- Drive IT System Enhancements: Oversee the maintenance, enhancement, and strategic evolution of IT systems and tools, ensuring reliability, performance, scalability, and security.
- Champion IT System Policies and Procedures: Champion IT system policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, with a focus on how they integrate with new and existing toolsets.
- Strategic Alignment: Coordinate with direct IT members and adjacent stakeholders to align regional IT system strategies and tool deployments with the organization's overall objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to analyze business requirements and develop solutions utilizing advanced IT systems and tools.
- Partner with Technical Teams: Partner with vendors and technical teams to deliver and integrate IT solutions and systems that support their operations.
- Provide Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical expertise and support in resolving escalated IT systems and tool-related issues.
- Monitor System Performance and Efficiency: Monitor IT system and tool performance and generate regular reports for senior leadership, focusing on key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Build vs. Buy Analysis for ITSM AI Agents: Conduct thorough build versus buy analyses for proposed ITSM AI agents, including detailed Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) estimations to inform strategic investment decisions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in IT with a minimum of 5 years in enterprise IT management roles, with a strong focus on systems and tools.
- Experience with teaching and mentoring others on project delivery activities and expectation setting with executional follow-through.
- Proven experience in managing and developing IT tool roadmaps and leading technology evaluations.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of network and systems infrastructure, cloud services, and modern IT operational tools (e.g., ITSM, automation platforms, CI/CD tools).
- Proven track record of managing IT projects and leading technical teams in the implementation and management of complex systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for process optimization.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on customer service and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with specific ITSM platforms (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Freshservice, etc) and GenAI/LLM integrations.
- Experience with automation technologies and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Groovy, Powershell, etc.)
- Experience in a Zero trust/beyond corporate environment.
- Experience in leading technical teams in hardware manufacturing businesses with emphasis in IT systems and supporting operations.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
