The CAM Manager I oversees the daily operations of the Legal Administration Team, which supports foreclosure related activities through compliance research, associate development, audit responses, process improvement, control reporting, compensatory damages, acquisitions, and due diligence reviews. This role manages a team of six employees responsible for legal administrative support throughout the foreclosure process, including post sale quality control, documentation review, and loss related approval oversight. The manager ensures all activities adhere to regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and internal

control standards while fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

Operational & Foreclosure Management

  • Lead daily operations for the foreclosure legal administration unit, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory and investor requirements.

  • Oversee legal administrative processes supporting foreclosure actions, including document preparation, tracking, and coordination with attorneys, vendors, and internal partners.

  • Post Sale QC: Conduct quality control reviews of the post sale foreclosure checklist to confirm all required steps were completed correctly by the Foreclosure Processor and documented according to policy and standards.

  • Oversee all reporting completed after the foreclosure sale, including sale confirmations, deficiency/surplus documentation, title updates, and disposition reporting.

Loss Analysis & Documentation (Review & Approval)

  • Manage and oversee the team responsible for preparing foreclosure loss calculations and charge off documentation.

  • Review and approve losses submitted by staff, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policy, investor guidelines, and compliance expectations.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Directly manage six employees, providing coaching, performance evaluations, career development, and performance management.

  • Monitor workload distribution and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and quality outcomes.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Compile and analyze monthly unit performance metrics, foreclosure timelines, exceptions, and operational results for management decision-making.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support portfolio acquisitions through due diligence reviews and onboarding of acquired loans involving foreclosure activity.

  • Promote an inclusive and collaborative work environment aligned with the M&T Bank brand.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Oversees workflows of moderate complexity and risk exposure with a high level of independent judgment.

  • Interacts with external attorneys, vendors, borrowers, and agencies as required.

  • Holds charge off authority within established limits.

Education and Experience Required:

A combined total of 6 years of higher education and relevant work experience in a call center or bank operations environment, inclusive of 1 years' work leadership or supervisory experience.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy.

Strong knowledge of relevant spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor's degree.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $62,200.00 - $103,600.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
