Job SummaryThe Marketing Manager (Events) is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing marketing events that support brand awareness, customer engagement, and commercial growth across the company’s product portfolio.
This role leads the end-to-end coordination of industry conferences, trade shows, customer meetings, and internal marketing events. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Commercial leadership, the Manager ensures that events effectively support strategic marketing initiatives, generate customer engagement, and enhance the company’s presence in key healthcare markets.
The Manager also manages event logistics, vendor relationships, and performance tracking while ensuring that all marketing activities remain compliant with company policies and healthcare industry regulations.
*This position requires working onsite 3 days per week at our Lake Zurich, IL U.S. headquarters.
• Salary Range: $100,000-115,000.
• Position is eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan with a target of 10% of the base salary.
• Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Planning

  • Support the development and execution of the company’s marketing events strategy aligned with commercial and brand objectives.
  • Identify key industry congresses, conferences, and events that support business priorities and customer engagement.

Event Execution & Project Management

  • Plan and execute national, regional, and virtual events including trade shows, symposia, customer programs, and internal marketing meetings.
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics including venue coordination, booth design, materials development, travel arrangements, and onsite execution.
  • Ensure consistent brand presentation across all event-related materials and experiences.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Legal teams to ensure event content and messaging are accurate and compliant.
  • Coordinate speaker programs, product demonstrations, and customer engagement activities at events.

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Manage relationships with event vendors, agencies, exhibit providers, and conference organizers.
  • Oversee event budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to approved spending plans.
  • Track expenses, manage contracts, and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.

Event Marketing & Customer Engagement

  • Support the promotion of events through digital channels including email marketing, social media, and website communications.
  • Work with marketing teams to develop event-specific content such as presentations, booth materials, and promotional assets.
  • Assist in coordinating customer invitations, registration processes, and attendee engagement activities.

Event Performance Measurement

  • Track key event performance metrics including attendance, lead generation, customer engagement, and post-event follow-up activities.
  • Analyze event outcomes and provide recommendations to improve future marketing initiatives.
  • Support development of dashboards and reporting tools to communicate event performance to leadership.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure all event activities comply with applicable healthcare regulations, company policies, and industry guidelines.
  • Partner with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance teams to ensure promotional materials and event interactions meet required standards.

Attend industry conferences, internal meetings, and training programs as required.

Complete all required compliance and departmental training programs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, event management, or commercial marketing programs.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing large-scale events such as trade shows, conferences, and customer engagement programs.
  • Experience working with vendors, event agencies, and conference organizers.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or nutrition preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends during major events and/or to meet business/customer needs.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to travel based on business need of approximately 30-40% – Air/Auto travel along with a valid driver’s license.
