Position Summary

The Manager of Pricing & Business Analytics is responsible for managing the company’s pricing infrastructure and strategy, leading commercial integration for acquired businesses and Greenfields, and delivering financial analysis that supports margin improvement and strategic decision-making by leveraging AI-driven solutions.


Essential duties and responsibilities

Pricing

  • Manage and maintain pricing data across all price books, requiring advanced data manipulation skills, expertise in Excel, and knowledge of AI solutions to ensure accuracy and efficiency in price book and quote updates.
  • Conduct lookbacks to ensure pricing strategies are executed successfully and achieve their expected EBITDA impact, using AI solutions where applicable.

Commercial Integration

  • Oversee the M&A integration and Greenfield start-up workstream related to commercial process and tablet solutions, working directly with Operations and the IT team to develop fit-for-purpose solutions.

Business Performance & Analytics

  • Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into key business drivers and performance metrics, including P&L variance and price mix analysis in support of margin improvement processes, leveraging AI tools where applicable.
  • Support financial risk and operations evaluations for operational reviews and Capex decisions.
  • Support cost-productivity efforts by partnering with regional and branch teams to identify and analyze initiatives that improve overall company profitability.
  • Partner with the AI Steering Committee to support the development and adoption of standards, best practices, and governance for responsible AI usage across the organization.

 

Education and Experience 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, or business planning and analysis.
  • Extensive data analysis, modeling, and reporting experience, including work with large, complex datasets.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting M&A integration, Greenfield start-ups, or commercial systems integration initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency with key software, including PowerPoint and analytical features of MS Excel, and familiarity with tools such as Dataloader.io or Power BI.
  • Experience with Claude or similar generative AI tools.

  • Frequent sitting for extended periods, with regular travel to branch and regional operations.
  • Ability to work across office and operational environments, including exposure to industrial settings during site visits.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required during site visits.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines, analyze operational challenges, and make high-stakes decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
  • Travel required, including overnight stays, to support integration and regional business initiatives.

success criteria

In the first 12 months, success looks like:

  • Price books maintained with pricing actions executed on schedule and achieving expected strategic and financial impact.
  • Successfully support Greenfield and integration 30- and 60-day sprints on the commercial workstream.
  • Deliver P&L variance and price mix analysis that measurably supports margin improvement initiatives.
  • At least one AI-enabled workflow improvement identified and piloted in pricing, quoting, or reporting.
