OVERVIEW
Mastercard is building a cloud-native data platform to power next-generation, data-driven solutions and services. This platform will deliver a data mesh architecture, advanced technologies, and processes that enable Mastercard to scale and innovate at speed.
We are seeking a seasoned Product Manager to join our Data and AI Platform team. In this role, you will own the product lifecycle-from shaping strategy and defining the roadmap to partnering with engineering for execution. You will collaborate across internal teams and external partners to deliver impactful solutions that align with Mastercard's vision for Data and AI.
What You'll Do• Define and own the product vision and long-term strategy for 1-2 domains of Mastercard's Data and AI platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives.• Establish domain roadmap(s) that supports critical business areas and platform capabilities including:• Job scheduling standards• Retry, backoff, and failure patterns• Processing templates (batch, hybrid)• Iceberg & Parquet standards• Table lifecycle management• Schema evolution patterns• Cross-engine interoperability• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, participating in technical discussions and leading requirement workshops.• Use data-driven insights to identify performance challenges, prioritize features, and optimize product adoption and revenue.• Partner with security, compliance, and legal teams to ensure vendor solutions meet Mastercard standards.• Drive cross-functional engagement and stakeholder alignment across multiple initiatives.
What You Bring• Experience designing and managing data platform solutions for SaaS businesses, with expertise in multi-tenant architectures and analytics.• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with AI/ML platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake (preferred).• Deep understanding of both on-prem and cloud data storage (Amazon S3), multi-tenancy and open architecture concept is a must have.• Experience in building core foundation layer of complex enterprise product is an added advantage.• Previous experience as a data engineer or data scientist is a strong advantage, especially in building AI/ML solutions for B2B.• Proven track record as a Product Owner in Agile environments, with strong backlog management and prioritization skills.• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.• Deep understanding of the Data and AI platform landscape, architectural patterns, and emerging technologies.• Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action, ownership, and agility in a fast-paced environment.
