Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Quality Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals supporting a high‑visibility federal program. The ideal candidate will lead the development, execution, and oversight of a comprehensive Quality Assurance framework that ensures all program deliverables meet stringent performance standards and customer expectations. The Quality Manager will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement, conducting quality audits, supporting SAFe Agile delivery teams, and ensuring ongoing compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) quality requirements across modernization, maintenance, and enhancement efforts.

 

Responsibilities:

The Quality Manager’s responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining the program’s Quality Assurance framework in alignment with the PWS and QASP requirements.• Ensuring all program deliverables meet QASP performance metrics and quality thresholds defined by the customer.• Designing inspection, testing, and verification processes to evaluate quality across all functional and technical task areas.• Conducting audits of quality systems, processes, and work products; documenting findings; and ensuring timely resolution of corrective actions.• Producing QASP self‑assessment reports and other required quality documentation, including metrics dashboards and trend analyses.• Providing quality oversight and support across SAFe Agile teams, including monitoring defect trends, sprint quality outputs, and Definition of Done adherence.• Leading continuous improvement initiatives using industry‑standard methodologies (e.g., root‑cause analysis, process optimization, CAPA).• Ensuring program compliance with CMS quality standards, contractual requirements, and all applicable federal guidelines.• Supporting audit readiness efforts, including preparing evidence, interfacing with auditors, and coordinating remediation activities.• Collaborating with cross‑functional project leadership, engineering teams, and customer stakeholders to drive a culture of quality across all delivery areas.• Maintaining configuration and documentation control practices to ensure quality baselines are accurate, compliant, and traceable.• Monitoring supplier and subcontractor performance as applicable, ensuring adherence to quality requirements and acceptance criteria.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or process improvement within large IT programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Demonstrated experience developing and managing Quality Assurance frameworks for federal or enterprise‑scale programs.• Prior experience supporting programs using SAFe Agile or scaled agile delivery frameworks.• Experience producing QASP or QCP (Quality Control Plan) artifacts, self‑assessments, surveillance reports, and corrective action plans.• Strong understanding of quality methodologies such as ISO 9001, CMMI, Lean Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.• Experience conducting audits, inspections, or quality reviews of technical and process‑driven work products.• Ability to analyze defect data, identify trends, and drive measurable quality improvements across multidisciplinary teams.• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present quality findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.• U.S. Citizenship required.• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting CMS programs or other Federal Healthcare initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or process improvement within large IT programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Demonstrated experience developing and managing Quality Assurance frameworks for federal or enterprise‑scale programs.• Knowledge of CMS quality standards, compliance frameworks, and audit readiness expectations.• SAFe certifications such as SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, or SAFe Practitioner.• Quality‑related certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, ASQ CMQ/OE, or equivalent.• Experience working within environments integrating legacy systems into modernized platforms.• Experience with data‑driven quality tools and dashboards (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Power BI).• Prior experience in government contracting environments, particularly with large‑scale modernization initiatives.

10 years of experience with a BS, may have supervisory or lead experience; 8 years with MS

Target Salary Range$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
