Manager, Solutions Engineer

Overview:
The Services team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing the cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast around the globe, this agile team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse global customer base. Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include payments-focused consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, business Test & Learn experimentation, and data-driven information and risk management services. Client verticals include Financial Institutions, Retail & Commerce and Digital Partners, Governments and many others.
Role Overview:
We're in search of a Solution Engineer with a strong background in analytics to strengthen the bond between our sales and analytics teams. You will be the go-to expert, diving deep into potential clients' data needs, and demonstrating how our analytics solutions can be tailored to offer them insights and value.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the sales team to comprehend customer analytics requirements and propose suitable solutions.
2. Conduct tailored analytics demonstrations, showcasing the depth and flexibility of our SaaS solutions to potential clients' specific data scenarios.
3. Address analytical and functional inquiries related to our product.
4. Support proposal development, ensuring that the analytics capabilities offered match the client's data needs.
5. Translate customer requirements into analytics-based solution proposals for the Product Development teams.
6. Stay updated with advancements in the field of analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence.
7. Offer analytics-based insights to the product and engineering teams, stemming from client interactions.
8. Represent the company's analytics capabilities at trade shows, webinars, and workshops.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics) or relevant experience.
2. At least 5 years of experience in analytics solution engineering, data consulting, or a similar role, preferably in a SaaS context.
3. Profound understanding of analytics techniques, data visualization tools, and business intelligence methodologies.
4. Stellar communication and presentation skills with an emphasis on conveying analytics concepts.
5. Acquaintance with the SaaS analytics product cycle and data integration methodologies.
6. A proactive, data-driven mindset with keen analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Experience in sales and/or customer facing business development position.
8. Previous work experience in a matrix-driven organization.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
