We are seeking a results-driven Manager to lead corporate tax accounting, income tax provision, and tax compliance engagements for clients across a variety of industries. Managers oversee day-to-day engagement delivery, mentor Consultants, collaborate with senior client stakeholders, and serve as a trusted advisor in delivering high-quality tax accounting, tax compliance, and advisory services.

 

What you might expect:

  • Lead corporate tax accounting and tax compliance engagements for clients across a variety of industries.
  • Manage the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including current and deferred tax calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
  • Review federal, state, and consolidated corporate income tax returns and supporting workpapers to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Partner with clients to address complex tax accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting matters.
  • Lead technical tax research related to federal, state, and international tax regulations and prepare or review tax memoranda.
  • Manage project workstreams, coordinate engagement activities, and ensure timely, high-quality client deliverables.
  • Mentor Consultants by providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Participate in tax planning engagements, proposal development, client relationship management, and business development initiatives.

 

What you must have:

  • 5–8 years of experience in corporate tax, tax accounting, tax compliance, and/or public accounting.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 and leading federal and state corporate income tax compliance engagements.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing federal and state corporate income tax returns within a public accounting, consulting, or corporate tax environment.

 

What sets you apart:

  • Experience at a Big 4 firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC).
  • Experience leading quarterly and annual tax provision engagements, including current and deferred tax calculations, tax account reconciliations, and effective tax rate analyses.
  • Experience leading consolidated federal and state corporate income tax compliance, including multi-state or multinational tax environments.
  • Experience performing technical tax research, interpreting federal, state, and international tax regulations, and preparing or reviewing tax memoranda.
  • Experience leading engagement workstreams, mentoring junior professionals, and serving as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders.
  • Experience with corporate tax technologies such as GoSystems, OneSource, CorpTax, or similar tax provision and compliance software.

 

Nice to have:

  • CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification.
  • Master’s degree in Taxation (MST) or other relevant graduate degree.
  • Experience supporting international tax, tax planning, tax controversy, or special tax projects.
  • Experience contributing to proposal development, business development, or practice initiatives.
