Align Product, Technology, Controls, and Legal to deliver secure, scalable agent-driven checkout capabilities and convert pilots into production.

Key responsibilities

  • Go-To Market & Commercialization: Design the GTM playbooks and commercial strategy for AIA powered offerings.

  • Ecosystem strategy and operating model: Deeply understand the competitive landscape to shape product direction.  Define where JPMorgan Payments plays and wins across agent-driven consumer checkout, including priority use cases, target segments, partner archetypes, and a roadmap aligned to client outcomes and adoption.

  • Build - core agentic commerce platform capabilities: Set the vision, priorities, and reference architectures for reusable platform capabilities that make agentic commerce safe, scalable, and repeatable across B2C checkout. Define requirements, success metrics, and governance; align Product, Technology, and Controls on decisions; and drive execution through cross-LOB forums, while dedicated build teams implement.

  • Build meaningful partnerships: Build and scale a prioritized portfolio of strategic partners across key B2C commerce and enterprise platforms, marketplaces, and emerging AI/agent ecosystems. Run structured experiments and pilots with clear success criteria and governance, then convert what works into scaled distribution through joint roadmaps, durable commercial models, and repeatable integration patterns (per prior discussion on lighthouse pilots and portfolio approach).

  • Protocol and standards influence: Drive firmwide participation in relevant protocol/standards efforts and bilateral implementations to shape interoperability, consent and delegated authority, audit logs, and post-transaction workflows. Ensure positions are implementable, reduce integration friction, and strengthen regulatory-grade controls rather than creating bespoke, non-scalable constructs (per prior discussion on protocol influence).

  • Identify opportunities beyond the current roadmap, developing informed points of view on where the market is heading, launching pilots and experiments.

  • Direct a prioritized build roadmap for platform capabilities, including partner-facing APIs/SDKs, integration kits, and standardized onboarding patterns that reduce bespoke engineering per partner and accelerate time-to-production.

  • Develop thought leadership and GTM motion to represent the firm’s agentic commerce strategy broadly in market.

  • Stand up lighthouse pilots with explicit entry/exit criteria (security clearance, privacy/data-use approval, resiliency readiness, measurable business impact), and operationalize a repeatable “pilot-to-scale” playbook that moves integrations to durable production distribution.

  • Lead executive partner engagement and negotiations; coordinate term sheets and long-form agreements with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Controls, Model Risk, and Third-Party Risk, ensuring contractual data-use boundaries and jurisdictional requirements are embedded by design.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Senior leadership experience in payments, commerce platforms (B2C), enterprise software ecosystems, or fintech, in GTM, strategy, or product management with experience including building and scaling complex partnerships and platform capabilities (per prior discussion on domain breadth).

  • Experience identifying, evaluating, and developing new product opportunities from concept through validation and scale.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through matrix influence across Product, Engineering, Data/AI, Controls, Legal/Privacy, Compliance, Risk/Model Risk, and Commercial leadership across MS.

  • Proven capability to run pilot-to-scale programs with disciplined stage-gates, measurable outcomes, and repeatable enablement assets.

  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop informed perspectives on emerging technologies, business models, and market trends.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience building or scaling AI-powered products, agent systems, or developer platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of card payments infrastructure.

  • Experience engaging with startups, venture ecosystems, accelerators or strategic investment organizations.

  • Familiarity with regulated AI operating requirements, including model risk management, privacy and jurisdictional constraints, and third-party risk expectations for mission-critical platforms (per prior discussion).
