The Manual Machinst  will be responsible for repairing of Caterpillar and/or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines.

Wages

Starting wage Manual Machinist will depend on experience and education. $36.69 - $45.88


Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a variety of manual machine tools
  • Read blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Set up machines
  • Produce precision parts to specifications
  • Troubleshoot machine problems
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Welding 
  • Line boring
  • Threading and conventional lathes

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as a manual machinist
  • Strong knowledge of machining principles and practices
  • Experience with a variety of manual machine tools
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
