This role is responsible for owning the end-to-end manufacturing data workflow, including data extraction, validation, analysis, visualization, and executive-level reporting.
The analyst will serve as a trusted partner to Manufacturing leadership by delivering accurate, timely, and actionable insights related to production performance, capacity, schedule adherence, and manufacturing cost. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and technical depth, supporting both day-to-day execution and longer-term operational improvement.

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Data Analyst to support data-driven execution and decision-making within our manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for owning the end-to-end manufacturing data workflow, including data extraction, validation, analysis, visualization, and executive-level reporting.
The analyst will serve as a trusted partner to Manufacturing leadership by delivering accurate, timely, and actionable insights related to production performance, capacity, schedule adherence, and manufacturing cost. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and technical depth, supporting both day-to-day execution and longer-term operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Data & Analytics Ownership
- Independently extract, integrate, and analyze manufacturing data from multiple systems (ERP/MRP, APS, MES, cost systems, and databases).
- Own data validation and reconciliation across systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trust in reporting.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies by working directly with system owners and functional teams.
Reporting, Dashboards & Visualization
- Design, build, and maintain standardized dashboards and reports using SQL and Power BI.
- Deliver executive-ready reporting that clearly communicates manufacturing performance, risks, and trends.
- Automate recurring reports where possible to improve efficiency and data timeliness.
Manufacturing Cost Analysis
- Analyze manufacturing cost per part, assemblies, and end items.
- Support total manufacturing cost roll-ups by work center, function, or program.
- Identify and analyze cost drivers including labor efficiency, scrap, rework, overtime, and material usage.
- Partner with Finance to align operational data with financial reporting.
Operational & Scenario Analysis
- Perform trend analysis and identify constraints, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Support scenario and "what-if" analysis related to demand changes, capacity constraints, and cost impacts.
- Provide data support for recovery plans, prioritization decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Leadership to support execution and planning.
- Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
- Act as a central point of contact for manufacturing data questions and analysis.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Engineering, Data Analytics, Operations, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong SQL skills for querying, integrating, and validating manufacturing data.
- Advanced Excel skills for analysis and data validation.
- Strong Power BI skills, including dashboard development and data modeling.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems commonly used in aerospace (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Costpoint).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, routings, and work center execution.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing cost structures and drivers.
Professional Skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment (AS9100 awareness).
- Exposure to APS tools, MES systems, or capacity modeling.

- Experience with data automation or scripting (e.g., Python).
- Experience supporting leadership decision-making with analytics.
